One thing i do know is that every nash product that poor old stuart have ever owned other than my trax metro barrow has fell to bits, so maybe it was poorly made, no one will ever know. Mr nash hasnt got a very good track record when it comes to knocking out quality products.

I bought my first Nash barrow in 2010 and it's still in use despite living outside for the last five years. I also bought two Metro's and one of the bigger model Nash barrows (Evo?) about four years ago for my members to use. These also live outside, but are still in great useable condition (obviously a bit of rust here and there).

I bought one of the very first carp porters, may have even been a prototype, grey hammerite before they were green, and you had to remove everything to break it down, [nothing folded], It's built like a tank, much heavier gauge steel than the current china imported ones, I never had a puncture in the original pneumatic tyre, even that seems better quality than the more recent versions which seem to get punctures more frequently.
I even used it to move a chevy V8 engine [not a light thing ] and it never bent or buckled one bit.
Its about 30 years old, well used, but well looked after.
I'v never had a Nash barrow, however I have a Nash bedchair, again quite old and well used, but still fully functional, nothing has broken on it yet, I have the chair too, again no problems at all,
I have a Nash "cube" bag that'works as it did the day I purchased it.
it's donkeys years old, and all zips buckles, stitching are intact, and it's in weekly use.
It seems to me that much of the failures of tackle ,whether it be Nash or any other brand, come about when the country of origin is moved out of uk to increase profits, whereas the original was a higher spec and quality.
Nash himself stated he could no longer manufacture Titans in the uk as nobody could, or would make them.
it took years to find a suitable manufacturer, and even then many would say they aren't as good as the original uk made ones.
as soon as a "niche" is found for a carp oriented item there's a race to the bottom to see who can produce it the cheapest with the highest profits.
quality becomes secondary, as they'll be "punting" the latest model next season,, and many will just have to have the "latest" on the bankside fashion show.
to give an idea of how tackle once was, my grandfather bought me my first "real" fishing rod from a shop in Horning, Norfolk, while on holiday on the broads, a solid fibreglass two piece spinning rod, I caught a nice perch the first day I had it,
last year I caught a double figure pike on that same rod, it was bought in 1959

The quality of the powerporter i have just bought is absolutely spot on,It feels very well built.I can't see korda selling these with quality issues,I know people knock Korda but I have never had any issue with any of their gear.The guy I spoke to at Prestige was very helpful and sorted out the two porters I ordered during black friday sale really quickly,it's a shame the same can't be said about Nash customer services

It was hoped Korda purchasing them would improve things, it seems they have, if quality has improved, and service from them when I ordered a few barrow parts was fast and efficient.

I'd take the things Mr Nash says with a pinch of salt. If people think that the Chinese/Taiwanese/Singaporean/Korean factories can make iPhones, iPads etc in their millions but can't sew a bit of fabric round a pole like some Dorris in Essex they are in the dark ages.
The likes of Nash went over to China and gave contracts to the lowest bidder for maximum profit and the cheap contractors were cr*p. Nobody to blame there but the greedy owners.
There is an interesting documentary on Netflix called American Factory. American made was at one point a sign of quality, the Chinese now laugh at their ability.
The ethics of using Chinese factories is another matter.
