I like the cap as it's fit.and forget it.
For.me the 100t is all about overnighters
Speed and convenience. The fact that it can be.left on
And genuinely doesn't make it harder to pop the brolly up
Is a massive plus. Makes it darker inside and for.minimum extra weight doubles the waterproofness of the area most likely
To be problematic in a downpour.

sounds like i need one - i have the full outer skin but can never be bothered to get it out and put it on !

A lot of our new swims are small boarded dugouts now
Bad enough squeezing by or reaching your leg round to peg
So I figured the full wrap would be a pain

YEP on my original Pioneer I always left my skull cap on all year and did the same on my Tempest never took the skull cap off

2 reasons
1 in summer makes it so much cooler
and
2 in winter keeps it warmer and stops condensation on the roof area
silly not leaving it on IMO

Tents no longer come with ground sheets or doors, you can always scrape enough together to buy the basic tent and then by all the additions later. Another crafty marketing ploy to mug off the Angler working man

2 ways at looking at the way they sell bivvies
think they said they did it for all the people that never use a groundsheet or front ? and moaned they were forced to buy something they wont use ?
but of course by splitting it up they jack the prices up too

I like the material as it keeps it.nice and light and dries quickly. Prefer it to my aquatex bivvies now.

im with you on this .... Aquatex is heavy, bulky and takes an age to dry .... I much prefer a decent nylon or lightweight polyester for all but long session bivvies. As a single skin ive never found much difference between any of the materials anyway .... apart from a Titan i had (Slippery Eel material?) .... condensation rained down on that bugger lol

Just took delivery of my Spider compact and put it up (in the conservatory!), which took roughly 30 seconds.
Must say, I'm well impressed, and IMO the quality blows my trakker tempest out of the water!

I recently bought the green spider compact, groundsheet and infill from Angling4less when they had it on offer. Used it 2 weeks ago for the first time and was very impressed. Goes up very quickly and the groundsheet and infill zip in with no problems at all. Only issue is I found the front 2 poles to be slightly tricky to get in and out - but easily sorted with a bit of oil/grease. The drip cap inside was really useful and there are some nice extras like the internal pockets and the fact you can zip the groundsheet all the way round even under the door. Absolute bargain for what I paid for it!

my pal has been using his for a long while now he was one of the first to own he bought it from belgium as it was at the time much cheaper
(but no where near as the black friday Anglin4less deal)
Anyway he said in bright conditions its very light inside but the moment you put the wrap on it turns to really dark he is one of those people thats has every bivvy that comes out and he mainly fishes Rivers with small uneven swims hates insects with a passion
and he said Gerry hand on heart its the best shelter I have ever had its got everything I have ever wanted in a bivvy only thing he would like is a skull cap for it
and I agree so if you do ? then bombard Solars facebook page telling them we want one ( it worked with the groundsheet)
