Rice would be playing with better players at anfield than with the hammers ,that makes a difference but we need much more than 1 player.Argentina will come good .Belgium or Brazil for me .

The bookies must be loving it at the minute, that Argie loss killed many many acca's and chuck in Kane not scoring or even having a shot against the Iranians they are creaming it in at present.

Not from me, I've never asked for Wenger, Emery or Arteta to be sacked.
Although Arteta is doing well I think Emery would have done well if given as much time that Arteta has been given.

Well, just watched the first half of the Belgium vs. Canada game, should have had 10 goals Canada ffs, can't finish, strikers wanting too many touches sadly, lacking quality up front
On a plus point, blueprint is out there for Belgium, long ball down the channels and the quick attacks is killing them!

Most enjoyable football I've seen so far. Luis Enrique has got them playing with the right attitude...
Surprised by the Germany result. I do expect both them and Argentina to improve in their next games though.

Yes, Spain looked slick and completely unhurried - as they should against a side like Costa Rica. Great to see all of the Belgian superstars moaning at each other.
Given the Germany and Argentina results, was beginning to think that Englands drubbing of Iran was better than it looked. Next round will be interesting.
Nice bunch of fixtures today; tight between Cameroon and Switzerland, Uruguay should have Korea's measure, Ghana to upset Portugal (?) and a bit of Samba magic to end the first round of group games.

Wales were being overrun in 2nd half but Page kept the same formation if you going to keep Bale on put him up front where he can make a difference. Iran fully deserved the win and are 1 place below Wales in FIFA rankings so not a big surprise.

Well, to be fair I think America could give any team problems, super fit and chased the ball around in numbers. A good counterattacking side would have had 5 against them and that's not us.
We are totally one dimensional under Southgate, and the same old, possession at the back and build on it, tell he was a defender. A long ball would have killed the Americans, build up play does not work, it's got to be slick and quick and in their half in seconds before they stick 8 men behind the ball
To be fair this has got to be Southgate's last roll of the dice unless he wins it. Looking a the competition, I think we have a good chance!
