Does it do anything more than a £50 / £100 pod? I don't think so il keep my 50 quid fox pod for when I use a pod... Seen a few bits of Jag gear on the bank and I don't see what the big deal is? Rather spend it on something useful like bait than a stand for some rods

Never really understood the spend it on bait brigade. I would imagine the people who buy jag pods like myself dont scrimp on there bait.

The difference is with jag there expensive but good quality and well made and made in uk unlike other tackle companies who import rubbish from china and charge big money and what's the most annoying thing people refuse to see it and stick up for them I have a jag pod from recommendation on here brilliant bit of kit
Some people have an eye for quality and unfortunately some don't at the end of the day it's what there happy with

I'd say you are fortunate in that you can afford expensive gear like jag. You probably have enough disposable income to buy whichever bait you like. Not everyone is in that position. But what you need and like within your own budget, but get your priorities right. Good bait will catch you more fish than an expensive pod, when compared to poor bait and a cheap pod. In fact it could be said a pod or indeed any rod rest is not essential. Some kind of bait or lure is.

I wouldnt say I was fortunate as I worked my ******** off to be in the position where I am now and able to buy more or less what ever I want. No fortune there just years of hard graft.

And I can 100% say that £450 of bait be it sweetcorn or your best mates bait company is gonna catch me more fish than 450 silly quid spent on a let's face it a fashionable I have money to waste pod??? If someone wants to spend that money it's entirely their business to do so. Is it overpriced? Yes but so is a high end car. A decent telly etc. It's called being an upmarket brand and to be fair to them the customer service is spot on and you only need to buy the gear once.
However not all people like it, and that's fine, there are plenty of brands to accommodate people of varying budgets.
I work hard for my money, if I want to spend it on jag, or a nice bottle of rum, or treat my test team to a social, or buy someone an expensive gift or spa day etc that's totally up to me. And should not emotionally distress you.
I truly hope you find a bit of peace and maybe consider taking a break from the forum it only seems to wind you up x

That's why I said fortunate and not lucky. Lots of people work their balls off, but due to unavoidable circumstances are not able to have a large disposable income. Not a criticism of you or anyone else. People have the right to spend their hard earned on anything they like.
