I've just done exactly that.. Gone from a trakker v2 brolly to a frontier x!! Absolutely no brainer buddy...
I'm the same height as you as well so I feel your pain.. Way too low.
Best decision I've made in some time 👍

Went from a V2 bivvy to a Frontier X. So far I've had it over a year and the V2 isn't even worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence😎

Does the 10cm difference in all dimensions make a real difference between the standard and the X
Keep like looking at the standard but with all the comments wondering if the X is the right choice. Or ad anyone bought the standard then upgraded to the X

X+ (new ) can have an inner dome the standard not.

It's not just the size of the x it has 4 windows compared to the 2 of the standard and a wrap is available rather than a vapour peak. I'm not looking for a bivvy but if I were these extra features would definitely sway me away from the standard.

The wrap does not have vents in,that is the only thing that let's it down

Nope I'm 6'4” so it was the extra height of the XD that appealed

Rather than start a new thread, can anyone comment on the quality of the ventec material compared to that of the aquatex on the pioneer 150?

Looking at getting a vapour peak... Can you leave it attached when packing away /setting up? Like you do on a tempest!!

Yes, you can leave it attached, just need to pull the 3 front poles out from their fixings and loosen off the straps.

Are the fox haters that jumped on the slag fox superbrolly/ultra converting to this bivvy from said manufacturer using same ventec material? Lol
