It's a fascinating thing those little wildies,do you know Andy ,I was all set to go ,..steady night drive up ,bit of wildcamping ,etc..

A proper little solo adventure,then 'it ' came along and now I can't get time off work ,one day,one day!

I've been lucky enough to catch a few 'proper' wildies, from a castle moat down in Kent or Sussex, can't remember it's name. I was bought a days fishing for my birthday by my son. Lovely day out.

Is that the place Chris Yates talks about in Casting At The Sun? (Don't know if you've read it?). Seem to remember there was a chapter where he talks about a moat which I'm sure was in Sussex.

sounds like you might have been fishing Inniscarra Lake in cork,prob dripsey arms direction. could be totally wrong of course


RE Edge in NI, part of the NI CARP SOCIETY waters resides in the Golden Glen lake newtonards. there is a 14lb brownie swimming about that lake munching boilies like mad lol

I don't know mate,I was proper young..all I remember how absolutely lovely Ireland is and that lake was really beautiful..plus the kindness and hospitality we found..

I remember, water,lots and lots of lakes,pools and rivers in my young mind...

(I remember the ferry crossing though,oh yes)
