I dont think that would work and you would just end up losing the inserts. I would say 99% of the people who buy it wouldnt use excavators any way.

Yeah same here. I had the first edition of jag compact pod and got rid for that same reason. Then bought the jag compact adjustable which works perfect for my needs as hate nothing more having to navigate rods during a take. Might not win any tackle tart accolades but i can live with that 😂

not if you already have excavators.
plus the insert could be magnetic / clip / screw in place. or people could be less clumsy with a half grand piece of equipment

Another compact form over function pod, not only too narrow for three rods with big pit reels but too short fully extended. Probably to light weight to be stable in strong wind. Some will say peg it down but surely that defeats the object of a pod as if it can be pegged down you could use separate bank sticks or a snag bar settup.

Stainless isnt magnetic. Also the levers would lock the excavators ok but how would you lock the thinner standard sticks in place if there is an insert? They would have to change the whole design of the lever locks to go right through the insert as as well to hold a standard bankstick.

Nice pod, but as many are commenting, too narrow for 3 rods IMO. Happy to stick with my Defiant Panther pod which was built to spec and keep best part of £200 for bait.
Don't think people wanting or buying one should be knocked, tho. Their money and choice.

My local tackle shop got mine in yesterday so mid session i reeled in and rushed down to go pick it up.
It's actually not narrow at all. I use Basia reels and there is no need to be carefully lifting the middle rod out. It's quite spacious from that point of view.
I personally would like the centre bar to be a little longer once extended, but that's a personal thing.
The biggest issue I have had is that with my delkim TXI D's, plus jag snag ears, the carry bag does then not close!!!!!!
It's also a light pod. Not a chance you could fish locked up without pegging it down. You'd lose the lot!

I asked jag on fb if the bag would fit everything in with the jag snag ears attached as i have them as well and they said it would.
