Not everyone is an engineer and would know what to order or where from.
They are a snag bar converter. It converts the standard buzz bars into snag bars.
It's 5 quid, and Jag are in business to make a profit. I see no issue personally.

It's just a grub screw/socket screws
No wonder we're having to pay silly prices for our kit, if everyone's prepared to pay such prices.

I admit its cheeky but fi you get them post free its worth it as most places charge 3 quid for small items shipping
the packing nuggets you mentioned you have to be careful they make two that look identical, one will melt off your rig, the other you will reel in lol, both starch based

How many items on the planet can you spend a fiver on which will last more than five years?
There are people in this world who will spend 60 quid on a Nash reel that changes colour in the sunshine yet bemoan paying the same amount on a product which may actually last more than a season.

So I take it you use the cheapest rods, reels and alarms on the market? Cos anything more expensive than that is a ripoff, right?

You are so northern. :-)
And just to be clear I don't work for Jag and I certainly don't get my gear for free.

I am northern and was expecting a lot more than a fiver when I clicked on the post. There's loads of good examples of daft carp tax pricing, but this is not one of them.
Nash scope car seat covers were priced at £60 a pair when they first came out.

I get his point it is pants down money if like me you know what they are and can go around to my local fixings and fasteners supplier and pick them up for pence but not everyone would know what to ask for or has a place like this they can go to so would have to rely on online purchasing.
If you google stainless 3/8 BSF socket grub screw you would see that in the online market place JAG's price is pretty cheap as is most of their stainless engineered products in my opinion, there are some proper piss takers online for these grub screws with their prices and when you add carriage we could all have our morning coffee from Harrods.
As the saying goes you get what you pay for and if you like tarty or well engineered products you'll always pay more.

Yes and the other thing is you're not buying them loose, so there's a packaging cost, plus as good as Jag are I'm pretty sure they don't have a teleportation system, so there's a delivery cost to the shop and then on top of that the £4.99 includes total tackles mark up which is probably about 25-30%. So jag probably make a quid on this product. Apparently profit is a dirty word when it's someone else making it.

I'm pretty sure that odds and sods like these are more hassle than they are worth for Jag. They probably only do them to keep people who have asked for them happy, I don't see a problem charging a premium for that.
Costa is about 3.50 for a coffee
Mucky Donald's is somewhere between 1.59 and 1.79 for a coffee
Starbucks is nearly 4£
Greggs is about 1.70
Let's not start on something as trivial as bottled water or even petrol prices good forbid
Or gas and electricity
Aldi bread 50p
Waitrose bread probably 5 and 1/2£ lol
Matalan jeans for 18£
Levi's or wranglers are 80
I saw some on line last week for 2500£
Mucky Donald's a burger is 99p
Five guys is 6£
if you are happy pay it if you not then don't
Just pay what your happy at the level you want
It really is that simple
Failing that
Make it your self.

I work hard to earn it, why shouldn't I enjoy nice things. That is my choice.
I also understand that with anything you pay for convenience
