if you get chance watch a film called Dark Waters

It wasn't/isn't people cooking and eating from Teflon coated pots and pans that caused the health issues. It was the chemicals used in the manufacture process being washed out into the local water course from the DuPont factory.

As OG says, if you're interested then the movie Dark Waters tells the story.

I prefer the hard anodised version of the Trangia pans, a bit less sticky than bare aluminium and not as easily scratched/damaged as non stick.

I've been using those alu trangias for many years,other than change the Teflon frying pan ,when the base becomes burnt from single flame use via the simmer ring I've had no issues..


(I'm out now looking for my car,can't remember where I left it )..


Me thinks people worry too much today,just get on with life best as you can..

just a quick one,I've started using the 27-2 ul and wanted to add a non stick frying pan,am I right in thinking any 27 non stick frying pan will.pack into my system

Great move..

Yes,the 27 sized fry8ng pan in either non stick ,or duosol or hard anodised will perfectly fit yr system ..

Have you been on the official Trangia site yet,and have you looked at Trangias history website..

I hear ,that the 25 has a non stuck saute frying pan coming out ,lots are hoping a 27 size saute as well..

None of the frying pans on the Trangia website ,the larger ones,they will not fit on the 27 ,but are designed as separates...hope this helps

I'm editing this ,basically just get a 27 sized Trangia frypan ,you'll see what I mean about the other frypans on there website ...

Thanks for the reply,I was hoping you or gerry would see the post...started using the trangia this winter and really enjoy using it....takes me back to my mess tin army days.

Just remember ,bloom and pop.,get a turbo lighter and a back up lighting source ..
