Thanks for the photos sundance the t100 looks amazing value for money I think it's gonna be slightly to small for what I want but I'm definitely gonna test it out though my local tackle shop said they will let me put my stuff in it to see if it's big enough for what I want. The pioneer imo is the most eyepleaseing bivvy on the market. Random question sundance how long roughly does it take for you to set both bivvys up?

The setup of a pioneer is a doddle like you say but it's un needed faff compared to a Tempest and far more difficult to set up in strong winds.......does look better though and the door was huge on the original! Is the door size the same on the new ones?

Rather pioneer than tempest in gale force wind. New pioneer ultralite 100 out, just a bit taller at door.

I haven't seen it in person yet but from the videos I've seen the pioneer looks very strong and well made but I can only find promotional videos I can't find any user review videos of the pioneer.

Really, I would rather just have much longer pegs for a tempest ......
Pioneer looks great but so does a mk2 super sport fiesta in my eyes........lots of better, faster and more practical cars about nowadays though........

I reckon the time is negligible (I've seen plenty of Tempests erected ooooeer), but def easier in the face of a wind as your fanning with your back to the wind and holding on to it rather than facing it and holding on with the tension bars . . .
Door opening is still mahoosive on Pio 150, albeit perhaps a little narrower than the original as the infill has large mozzie windows either side (which the original didn't) . .

Yes. In a high wind you can drop it lower push the storm poles in. And wind just runs over the top. The 100T is going to catch it but then it is the highest narrowest profile.

Downside of these flat back ies so the bed can go rite back, the flat surface catches the wind. Tempest 100 isn't to bad because the flat part is relatively low, the frontier xd looks like a gale would destroy it.
Miss my original ultralite and had a tempest air which was a good short session bivvy but not the same quality. Every time you post pics of your pio I wonder if I should get one or maybe the new ultralite.

If my original Ultralite ever gave up the ghost (the seams, poles / block are still mustard on mine) I'd replace it with the new one without hesitation . . .

I purchased a Titan having watched bivvies for decades my two elderly bivvies serving me well however I was drawn to the Titan many years ago due to strength of its frame and finally gave in. We are spoilt for choice the majority of bivvies on the market are decent bits of kit and do the job.
