It's really not, if you buy sensibly. Especially for something like a pod which many barely if ever use them.

Weird, company check says he resigned in 2017 and now solar has one Chinese lady director, as does companies House too. He doesn't own it anymore

Yeah I remember him leaving cherry, it shows him as not having any current directorships too. Shows him resigning 3 different solar companies plus cherry carp aswell. Maybe that info is wrong but it's what's on there at the minute . Either way it's sod all relevance to the op .

To the op, buy a cheaper pod ,there's no need to pay silly money for them and some cheaper gear can last just fine if you don't abuse it

I have owned and used most pods from the cheapest to expensive £15 to over 600 Euro
and now on reflection I really have wasted an awful lot of money on pods that would easily out live me
I STILL have an original Quattro pod perfectly functional works superbly well for its intended purpose
of course it is not as heavy as a Stainless pod but its just as stable in any situation with a bivvy peg or a cup screw and you havent got the extra expense or having to lug something around they weighs a ton either
recently someone I know near my age group needing to cut down on weight etc wanted to buy a Fox Quattro pod but S/hand they are still fetching £90 upwards
so he bought the Sonik Sports Vader X 3 Rod Pod he has used it all this season and as its a brilliant bit of kit around £55 a great solid quality well made pod that should last many many years
no need to spend SILLY AMOUNTS these days at all !!!!

I went from a Gardner Pod (used that for a decade, gave it away after two) Solar Sod Pod 97 - 2005 and a world wide every since.

Leeda Rogue pod £40 on amazon. The only pod I've ever owned so no comparisons. Needed a pod for a new lake, I wasn't prepared to pay silly money for carbon, stainless or titanium so went for this from a local shop and been using it regularly for 5 years. Can be used as pod, goalpost or singles. Ally, so it's light and it will take 3 big pits comfortably. Comes with a fitted bag. For that price highly recommended.
