I don't think he does that much time but the advantage is being able to go when conditions are at there best.

I believe it as he told my mate who fished with him. My mate very genuine and TH seems to be as well.

Paid for with the second book, not the first. The stories about Maylin are pretty true. Live and let live. He's happy, not harming others, surely that's the most important thing

The bloke is unreal - most rounded angler ever. Just look at the fish he has caught along the way going way back to late 80's. He has had them all.
Handfull of casters and a dainty caster rig in the edge. Not a spod or 30 kilos of munga in sight.
I think it's only a matter of time before Tel drifts away into another area of our pastime, i've heard that he will be targeting other species as the circus has got to much for him and the mainstream anglers do not have the "mid week" edge anymore as lakes are rammed out all week...

Surely that's when the top anglers show there worth when a lakes busy. That's carp fishing these days. That's half the battle won with sponsored anglers. Just being able to fish mid week.

. . .still THE only 'name' out there worth listening to IMHO . . .upbeat, enthusiastic and consistent, TH has stood the test of time and has managed to remain relevant in spite of all the noise surrounding carp fishing these days. Much more engaging than 98% of the guff content produced by a zillion other wannabes . . .different class angler

I understand that but Linear a bit extreme. Any lake with nice old fish in is busier than ever. We have to live with it so should everyone else

I agree, if he really did have enough with carping, he'd still keep himself relevant catching specimen sized fish of all species, whether that would pay the bills is a different story though.
