As someone who has changed baits far too often over the years and prefers softer baits i think most websites miss a trick when it comes to describing the texture and firmness of their baits.

At the moment I'm in need of a new bait in shelflife form and have long had an interest in the ABS Malarky. I have read so much positive feedback about it but wondered if any one had used it fully preserved and if so how soft or indeed hard is the bait.

I think the new site is a big improvement over the old in most aspects.

Couple years ago I wanted a bag of shelf life to keep in the motor and went with malarkey. Very impressed. You wouldn't tell the difference between fresh or shelf life. Very soft

Appreciate your opinion, very helpful thanks.

I think i remember reading somewhere that the Malarky is quite a subtle smelling bait. Was that your experience with it if you can recall?

Yeah I'd agree with that. Tho it is still a fish meal so not that subtle

You could close your eyes, scroll down the page and select a bait and it would work. Unquestionably great baits from one of the best, most proven bait brains out there

I used to get Malarky from Blake's instead of direct from ABS too to be honest. They were just easier to deal with and would generally post out on a next day free of charge. They also sell loads of other stuff that was handy.

Geoff's baits are great, but unless you want to drive out to Sittingbourne, wait around for a van on the M25 or pay through the nose for hit and miss postal delivery Blake's was the smart option. Ended up dropping the malarkey for Blake's Red Fish Pro when they dropped the ABS stuff.

If the new website comes with slightly slicker service I'd be more than happy to go back to a ABS bait.
