Was she accompanying in the brown wings renewal department?....
I used to sit in front of Billy big genitalia in maths..
I hated maths..remember those shatterproof clear rulers, this crimp kept hitting my head with aforementioned ruler..
Until I had enough..I turned round, telling this wally do it again ,and see what happens..
He did it again,.
What happened next shocked the bully, the class and myself ,plus poor old maths teacher..
A wooden stool, against human skull,...class pretended that nothing had happened,or the teacher, got a bit of respect from that,no trouble did I have after either..

Too be fair she has really good friends and is really popular but these girls follow her and intimidate them all until my girl is singled out. What doesn't help is due to current conditions they are only allowed in a small section of the school during break time.
She said a couple of days ago that her friend run over to her and warned her not to go up the stairs as the bully is waiting for her up there and is planning on pushing her back down 😧 I mean, Jesus! People die from that!
I will tell you how it all started...... her best friend was being bullied by the same girl and one day after school at the park the bully turned up started threatening her friend and chucked a football at her which broke her finger. My girl rushed over to her friend as the bully started throwing punches and covered her friend so she didn't get hit but ended up getting punched in the face herself. A lady who lives next to the park stopped the bully and got a load of verbal abuse whilst the girls got away. At the hospital (her friend with the broken finger) the staff said they have to inform social services who then contact the school. Of course when the school got involved they got all the girls together and they all had to say sorry to each other. Broken finger girl said it first to the bully and then it was my girls go (the bully wasn't asked to say it before this point) and my girl questioned why she had to say sorry when she had done nothing wrong to which there was no reply. The teacher then just told them all to be nice and forget about it even though the only person to have said sorry was the broken finger girl 🤷♂️. Bully girl now bullies my girl.
My young one now says that she wished she just said sorry. How sad is that.
I'm going to take Mal's route for now as that is the sensible way and I know that both my girls are watching me as to what I'm going to do next. After all, I don't want them to turn out like her.

Good luck with it, I don't have much hope for a resolution via the school.
Lots of boxes to tick to show the ofstead mob but no action.
I don't know about the others, but when I suggested karate, it wasn't so your daughter could execute a perfect roundhouse kick to the temple to settle the matter. Just having the confidence that she could handle it if it came to violence would give her a different outlook, and also mke it less of a sport for the bully

Agreed the definition of a bully
a person who habitually seeks to harm or intimidate those whom they perceive as vulnerable
So one way to stop it is to not become a bully but to remove the vulnerability.

In my experience with family and friends kids schools are useless. It may vary. But that is mine.
I would say. Get her some one one one boxing tuition. If you don't know much about that world. She will not be fighting. She won't be sparring . No-one is going to hit her. Its technique and fitness. Nowhere near as rough as people imagine. So a bit of research and you can find ex UK or GB champs in lower weights that train one on one for less than 25 quid an hour. Tell them your story and you would be surprised at how quick they rally round.
She learns power, speed, combinations etc
And all very very quickly.
How do you make a nice kid able to handle a damaged kid?
Make it a sport. She will throw a couple of bangers out with her chin down without thinking.

The trouble with karate is that it takes effing years to be of any use. And even that is not against a proper fighter. Decades. Kids are just punching air for years.
Judo is at least full contact. And is great especially for younguns like 5 upwards. My kid started st 5 and then switched to boxing at 10. To be honest he learnt no actual technique
But he did have confidence and no scared of a tumble.
But your girl is older and has problems right now. Boxing offers the quickest route to genuine ability and self confidence in my opinion.

That advice is alot more meaningful if accompanied with some technique and training.
Especially if we are dealing with a nice kid from a nice background. Most have been brought up not to hit anyone for years as a kid. Then suddenly told macho stuff like ." Dont start it but always finish it" . But no actual ABC practical skills.
Secondary schools are a bear pit and the teachers are useless at what goes on behind the scenes.
My kids head of year told me that they don't tolerate violence bullying or fighting. I pointed out to him that my kid had been in 3 genuine fights in his first year and witnessed many more. And that many are on his school groups instagram LOL

Respect your opinion mate
It's sad and very frustrating as a parent. I hope you get it sorted out soon, not good on a child's mental health
Once told my daughter, I will stand by her most things but if she ever bullied anybody I would flatten her myself. Lowest of the low for me

From a personal viewpoint,I'd love to have done boxing as a kid,but no where within many miles to do that,my son is interested in MMA,but same as the boxing..
Main thing is I bet it instills confidence and self awareness..
