I'll doubt I'll be able to get my money back as some of the insides of the pegging points have lost some paint where I've pegged them down.
If the item is not fit for purpose doesn't matter if a few paint chips are visible, its not fit for purpose.
I would ring JAG and offer to send pictures and let them at least try and resolve the issues you have identified.

I'd be very surprised if this isn't sorted for you quickly and painlessly. I've not heard anyone mention this issue before so I guess you have been a bit unfortunate there. But at least your replacement isn't stuck on a shipping container somewhere between here and a Chinese sweat shop. Probably the biggest plus of buying a uk made product is the after sales.
Contact them on messenger. They got back to me straight away when i had an issue with something. There customer service is the best in the business. It will be sorted asap.
Agree with the positive service comments. Highly impressed how they sorted my problem. I judge companies on quality AND aftercare service.
Definitely contact jag directly. They sorted an issue with my 2plus1 bars almost immediately. Obviously all companies must have the odd item slip past QC, but Jag's customer service is excellent!

I was sent the blacks ones and I was about to send them back but they actually worked well visually without the WW and Solar Back Rests so decided to keep them. I can't trim those down although It would be nice to have them flush.
Anyway I'd contact Jag, let us know how u get on.

How far were you casting it? 
Jag do nicely made stuff but reading what you expect from a pod, you got the wrong one. Their all singing all dancing stainless 290 thing does everything and won't fall to bits; wether people can afford or justify paying what jag charge is another matter but lightweight little pods are only ever going to be suitable for light duty tasks

Theres only one other person mentioning a problem which out of the 1000's and 1000's of things they sell is testament to how good there gear is. Mine wasnt a problem it was something i wanted changed. I should of maybe worded it differently. I ask if they could make me some bank sticks with the old style points as they dont make them any more and they got one of the machinists to make some for me and they arrived within a 4 days.

Nah, that ott stainless number they do isn't for me. The most sturdy/ sensible one I've seen so far in the flesh so to speak is the Solar one I've mentioned (not the black ally one as it's not the same at all), unfortunately it's only in stainless, and as good as stainless is, I'd rather not.
I did buy the wrong pod, you're right. Like I said earlier, these pods are for fishing places with flat swims, platforms and manicured lawns, anglers quaffing Pimm's and eating salmon sandwiches, vol-au-vents, strawberries and cream, not vertical, uneven swims to the waters edge simply. I ama c0ck.
I didn't know that JAG has a carbon (carbon look?) Inner shaft, I thought that considering the cost of a single bankstick, I thought it was milled from a single piece of rod = wrong. Instead, about half inch of the inner rod is glued in, couple that with what, a 30° leg angle, it's a definite weak point. Also, where the inner goes into the outer, there is a very slight rocking of the carbon rod inside. Maybe I'm being pedantic here, me paying nearly £30 for a 7" bankstick, I expect tight tolerances and not hearing the internal 'tick, tick' of the inner shaft tapping the outer of the bankstick = wobbly s-hit, hello 1980's.
The more I think about this, the more it's starting to piss me off. Mentioned this in an earlier post... One of the loose legs has now just come clean off. Unreal.

You Want one of THESE
Not your average Pod this wont fall apart and plenty of styles to choose from, the guy that designs and engineers them makes shotguns so tight tolerances and proper engineering.
Edit: you probably want to pay someone to carry it though.
