I have got a few sets of buzz bars over the years, stainless Solar fixed 3 rod, extending 3 rod, other manufacturers, the Solar has outlasted them all. I was looking back at pics from 1992, the Solar stainless in them I still have.

It's worth saving a little while longer and getting a set that will last forever.

i have Castizm reels which are basically the same size wise and use them on 4.5inch two rod bars, so 9inch would be fine for 3 rods.

Have a look at Matrix gear its solid and well made and great prices just keep an eye on the bay as some bargains to be had
