'Best' baits would IMO be ones that are natural - EVERY boilie on the market is obviously man made and not a 'natural' source of food. Some of them are very good, and use ingredients derived from nature, but you wont better natural baits IMO

So what you are saying is totally natural food is the most attractive? Where does that leave what we eat and drink?

Think of it however you like mate. In our natural state, i.e. if we were stranded on a desert island, our natural instincts would lead us to find natural sources of food. No crisps, biscuits, kebabs etc. Fish will naturally be drawn to natural baits time and time again. Granted a bright orange sweet smelling ball may snag them now and then but IMO you will never beat the inherent attraction from natural baits.

We would be drawn to the easiest, most nutritious meal. Take bears, for example, who go to areas where, during salmon spawning, they can can easily catch them. I bet if someone put loads of dead chickens on the banks they'd ignore the salmon and eat the chicken. I bet if you put a massive bed of bloodworm or berries on the bank it would get ignored

Ah, but many are the same god just with a different language translation on the name.
Yahveh, Ieyovah, Allah, Jehovah, all the same God, just Hebrew, (both new and old World), Arabic, and English.
In answer to the OP, probably some guy who has come up with a bait in his garage, but doesn't wish to or can't afford to market it.
Bait companies are often limited by the cost of ingredients to make it commercially viable.
When Nutrabaits first released Hi-Nu-Val, back in the 19's, if you made it into 1 kilo batches at home, it was costing around £10 a kilo after any flavour and Essential Oil etc. Add in Addits and...
