Hide seems a little higher than a tempest brolly and the flat back is much better IMO.......certainly why I'm currently considering one after owning a tempest brolly...... 
Also tempted by the solar sp brolly but never hear them mentioned. Seen them for very good price so does make you wonder

I've recently bought a Sonik AXS although I haven't used it yet. I rarely use a groundsheet so bought the shelter and front, seemingly good value at roughly £220. I put it up in the garden yesterday to check it out and I'm quite impressed. The material feels good and it goes up and down quickly and easily. Mesh pockets front and back are a nice touch and it has front and rear vents. Initially it didn't feel overly stable but when I put some storm poles on it this changed.
If you want a high front this could be ideal, I thought it was too high for me really but by releasing the tension strap and pulling the sides out it lowered nicely. The only slight niggle I could see was it could do with some pegging points a few inches higher to peg it down low.

Got the axs bivvy had it since they come out. Good bivvy just as quick to put up as a tempest. The colour is better than a tempest That's if you care about what colour it is lol. Only use the sticks in windy weather once pegged down I think it's a solid bivvy
Only gripe I have is the groundsheet it's not as heavy duty as a tempest one and if not on soft ground will get holes in. Sonik has already sent me a new one I am not using it yet but I do bivvy up on small gravel swims. It's the bedchair feet that's done the holes

Had a look on sonik site they do a shelter and brolly which one are people recommending also if it's the brolly is there a zip on it to take a zip on front if you want to buy one also what sort of price is the wrap for it

For the brolly, you can buy the separate ground sheet plus overwrap but there is no zip on the brolly, so you can,t fit the front on. Whereas the shelter has a zip on so you can fit the front on, and the groundsheet & overwrap. Prices you'll find on eBay.

Ok so went for the solar sp brolly. £135. Bit on the heavy side but no groundsheet or infill panel should bring the weight down. Liked the look of the rear vent and material. Bit of a gamble as not one thread on here about it. Anyone own one?

Will do. Hopefully arrives today. But found out there was a typo on the spec apparently. Brolly with pegs and poles 7k so not so bad after all

Received my sp brolly. Looks nice and decent material. Looks like the usual solar quality. Weighed it in just over 7kg so not to sad
