Fishing in France with my brother 4 or 5 years ago. 2 days into a week holiday, i was asleep when i had a run at 3am (turned out to be a duck). Anyhow, at the time i was sleeping with my right arm above my head. As i jumped up, my dislocated right shoulder of 20 years previous decided to pop out again.
No fishing for me for rest of the holiday.

Jeez some of these make me cringe especially the braid through the finger they can be nasty. I too have dislocated a finger not whilst fishing though and dislocated my right shoulder playing rugby didn't hurt while it was out of the socket but putting it back was nasty!!
Side not I got very annoyed in a&e as this w****r was moaning about his waiting time. He had been there two hours just with pain in his shoulder. While I was there they had three ambulance visits one was a car accident guy comes in in a c collar, another was a guy had an accident at work with a circular saw and another was a fall off a ladder, they were clearly stretched as west Suffolk isn't a large hospital and he was having a go at the staff. My missus being a nurse means my fuse is short with people having a go at nhs staff.
Another side note centre parks were great transferred our tickets to the following day, they have limited swims which meant the lake was over booked so they gave us permission to fish behind the chalet we were in literally out the back up the bank 20 yards to this lovely bay, pre baited after getting back from a&e and had dinner got the rods out just sinking the line and off it went with a 24lb 8oz common which broke my pb not huge I know but was well happy, the mrs wasn't as I wasn't supposed to be moving my head too much as could of caused another bleed in my eye but straight after hooking it I'm sliding down the bank to the water. I don't know how to post pics of my eye and the carp if anyone can help

Having a go at NHS staff is a complete no no. I've seen the presence of security staff in A&E just to keep ********s quiet. Personally I'd throw them out, but as I'm a compassionate chap maybe if they beg I might let them back and put them at the end of the queue

The stuff my missus has seen is crazy. A druggy stabbed a security guard a few weeks back the police missed the knife when they brought him in for treatment

Someone on the larkfield complex on larky 2 slipped and fell on a scaffold pole in one of the swims there and got quite badly injured .I believe MKF had the lease at the time and the brown stuff hit the fan as the lakes were in a right state and the owner was not happy I think they ended up losing the lakes shortly after that.

Had a couple one of the main ones was a 2/0 going right in my finger past the barb but not through to feed it out was on a boat and the skipper wanted to take me back in to get it removed I declined and asked for a pair of plyers next thing one of the lads came up with the rustyest things I have seen it gave them to the skipper and told him one go just yank it out good and proper his face was a picture so he yanked and at the moment of full pressure the hook slipped out the plyers the words that followed could not be repeated the laughter on the boat was deafening I politely told him he had one more go and with shaking hands he removed the hook at the second time of asking I think I did something like this

My mates sleeping bag zip got stuck when his rod was melting off one night.
In the scrabbling panic to try and get out he somehow managed to dislocate his ring finger on his right hand.
He casually snapped it back into place whilst playing the fish - a low double which was duly netted and released.
It wasnt until a few minutes later that the pain hit him and he went all queasy.

People seriously underestimate how much putting it back in can hurt. Usually it hurts a bit then the real pain comes

Cut my thumb open all the way up one side on a treble hook while trying to unhook a small pike. What a bloody mess that was.
I had forgotten about this one it was about 30 years ago !
not sure if they are used today but I ran out the bivvy barefoot one summers night and trod on a old rusty Jardine Snap Tackle thats used in pike fishing or used to be ?
the 1st rusty treble got me in between my toes the the 2nd in my heel I got taken to hospital and after numbing injections got everything out but the biggest pain was when they done me in the arse with a tetanus injection standing on one leg bending over
