I would be more careful if they have any calves though as any animal will be very protective when they have offspring......

And even more careful if you have a dog with you

I would also be careful where you park your car. Posted a while ago, they destroyed a mates Fiesta, broke the mirrors off rubbing against it and licked all the salt off it with their sandpaper tongues. I guess something new in their environment they will want to investigate same as most creatures, wouldn't fancy one rubbing off on my tent and falling on me

Thanks all, sounds like I should be alright.

I certainly wasn't planning on parking my car in the field. I've made that mistake before - came back to my car covered in scratches and cow snot

Hi In my experience of fishing in their vicinity grown cattle as already said tend to be clumsy lumps looking for the next spot to lean/scratch on..Heiffers on the other hand can be a right PITA and a tad unpredictable. ... Its like juvenile machismo trying to show whos boss. Talking of cows... I took my ex once. Looking back now I think she was more of a moose......
