I don't think the initial post gives a balanced description of the process. Having read the proposals i may be wrong but it appears to me that this is a 10 year project to restore and improve the aquatic environment in a specific wetland area. It may affect angling in the short to medium term but the long term goals seem admirable to me and not at odds with the purpose of the EA or Natural England.
