I think you're onto a good thing there Sam. You've got a voice that very much suits podcasts, but most importantly you don't interrupt your guest. Excellent stuff

I think that Shaun Harrison has got some very interesting angles, although I would say the approach he talks about in respect to bait is very much dependant on the water you're applying it to. What I mean to say is if you were seeking out small critters and snails to act as a kind of attractant to get fish to investigate your spot and you were fishing in a commercial, barren waterscape? I can't see it would diminish your returns all the same. Saying all that, obviously Shaun would change his approach depending where he's fishing.

I agree, I love listening to Shaun. A very unassuming talent. A gentleman carp angler.

Thanks again fellas. Really appreciate the kind words although I must say that I feel embarrassed listening back to them at the bits where I'm overly drunk.
To be honest I've been pretty hammered on most if not all the episodes and I think it has affected the quality of things. It started off as being our “thing” to have a drink on the episode, it quickly got out of hand.
The last one I recorded I couldn't finish off properly because I couldn't get my words together
Kind of funny, but also kind of tragic!

We will be recording one tomorrow and I will be stone cold sober for it. If anyone has anything they want us to cover feel free to pop me a pm

In the interest of getting the thread on track, “into the wilderness” is a great non-carp podcast if you enjoy shooting or land/animal management.
Of course JRE and the Tim Ferriss show are both great podcasts too.

As far as carp podcasts go I think most of them are good and worth a listen but my personal favourite is Tom Stokes account of his time on Burghfield which was featured on The Spodcast.
Definitely worth a listen!
