I'll second that. bought some bank tackle sinkers and they are rubbish, no matter what I do they strip the coating, binned em and sticking with Korda

I don't agree with banning things, however I am in agreement with banning people.
If you intentionally misuse leadcore/tiger nuts/plastic baits it should be the user that's banned, not the item itself.

I couldn't agree more, should definitely be banned.
I agree that plastics should be banned. It doesn't take misuse to make them a danger to fish and other wildlife.
If you crack-off, a plastic bait is fishing until the hook rusts or rots away. The plastic bait does not break down itself, so a fish, or bird can take it and end up with a hook in its mouth. Now imagine by accident that you cracked off and sent the rig into snags. The line catching up on the snags, totally unintentionally, and you have a tethered fish or bird, be it coot, tufty or whatever.
Add to that the litter. I know it is only a small piece of plastic, but what is the big news at the moment with plastics in the environment?

Agree. I would ban plastic baits for the reason you mention. Minimum I would allow floating plastics baits in the hope that eventually they would come to the surface, which could take years!!!
A hook can stay in good condition for a long time under water due to reduced oxygen that would promote the corrosion. Leaves a very dangerous situation crack offs with plastic baits
Environment and our quarry should be number 1 for carp anglers
If people want to use it that's fine with me, that's their choice. It's the fishery management which needs to make these decisions with fish protection in mind

I use yellow flip flops, fantastic price for hundreds of pieces of corn you can also cut them to any shape and size to balance perfectly. 
Black one are good for zigs too

Great idea

Agree with others that it's a dangerous tactic and not environmentally friendly.
