Obelisk has been well fished and is pretty much a known quantity wrt the stock etc.
VW is a completely different thing. Not least because it is about 300 acres (I think) and you have previously only been able to fish about 1/3 of it.

The ability to night fish, fish a long session, fish previously unfishable areas etc etc and they had one 30?
I think you can assume that £1,000 is a lot of money for a water that does not give up her (crown) jewels easily.

For the sake of the lake I hope that they closely vet all of the syndicate applicants. It is a beautiful unspoilt water BUT as you put would certainly need a lot of time and effort to succeed. If anyone is thinking that for £1000 you will get umpteen 20's 30's and 40's in a season then I suggest that they think again.
I love the lake, love the thought of the unknown and can afford the cost, sadly the fact that it is 90 odd miles away and I hardly get time to fish nowadays means I won't be fishing it now. Good luck to all that do though, in a way I would love to see what it produces but then again maybe I wouldn't, to me its main attraction was always the appeal of the unknown.

Agree with all that Josh however I don't think the syndicate is going to help policing the water, after all they can only fish the north bank can't they. I can't see member's walking round the whole lake before setting up, after all that takes about 3 hours! 120 acres btw, I thought it was more like 300.
