Guarantee energy company profits and have the taxpayer pay off the loans made to the energy companies over the next 10 - 20 years.

We're being scammed. Govt. has no clue what level prices will reach, yet will still commit us to underwriting the cost, ensuring vast profits are maintained for the energy firms throughout this crisis.
If you live in a massive mansion using loads of power and gas, you immediately come out of this better off than someone living in a bedsit; the bills will be very similar.
This isn't the answer and Govt. will be creating a whole raft of unimagined problems if this becomes the actual policy.

Wouldnt work, Pay would be less, conditions worse etc etc....And we also know people will say anything to get in power........
Same applies to energy companies........You try anything silly and they simply pull out taking all the infrastructure with them.....
To nationalise what you mention would literally be like starting up new companies with no current set up........

I don't know how utility companies can take infrastructure with them, sounds pretty daft. I take it that you agree that it's absolutely absurd that companies are making vast profits selling us natural resources that we collectively own? Imaging saying to BP were taxing the **** out of you.........BP would simply leave the UK market. You can see this already when the Gov is already considering paying them to keep caps in place!!! same applies to most Corps with huge monetary and influencing clout!
As for savilles mate and Labour they wouldn't achieve state ownership because like the cons it's all about lining your mates pockets and being held to ransom by the money machines......

I also can't remember what they last did which was great and it's been so long since they've been in power...
It is so easy to stand back and come up with all these theories and nonsense it's been so long I don't think they really understand what the challenges are, Corbyn to me demonstrated labour had completely lost their way and left you not far from a similar position of Lib Dem
