The YouTube follow up posted below is interesting, clear evidence of it happening, even one guy admitting to using it before. And the statement which I found most interesting was the one where they said that "if named anglers were using it they will surely stop now" .

so you don't find it odd 4 anglers have all posted exact same questionable statement? Threatening legal action on the basis of what?! No one from what I can tell has mentioned their names, you cant just threaten legal just because they feel like people might think its them. End of the day the carp chronicles have proof etc of the substance being used, maybe not by the mentioned anglers but its a problem and needs to be addressed. And if your a known angler and that's your job to be out there promoting etc and you have some suspicious catches using same tactics which most other anglers also use and hormones are also being used, then I think its only normal for questions to be asked.

Its one things saying you will go after people for defamation of character, its another actually doing it.
Whilst, if he is innocent, this statement will hopefully put a line through it for him, the scale of actually doing what his statement reflects is huge, would require a large amount of funding and i cant see many barristers taking it on as a case personally.

There is of course jealousy, loads of it in carp fishing its shocking I agree with that. On the flip side there is a lot of brown nosing to these anglers and alike, thinking they are all friendly with them. Some of the comments are embarrassing, even known anglers replying playing dumb to the matter. Not saying there is a conspiracy going on but this is definitely getting brushed under the carpet lets face it. Hopefully a 'no hormone use in a fishing situation' will be a rule rolled out across the industry as a minimum and anyone using it who is caught faces the consequences.

Asking questions is fine but some of the comments made towards these anglers is not on.If it comes out to be true and people have real evidence it has been going on then yes they deserve whatever comes their way.Has anyone on here actually got evidence,I have seen two of the anglers take oxlease apart in the snow.They were putting no bait out at all,just zigs 2 foot off the bottom,were they cheating and doing something then because I certainly saw no special liquids or powders

They were putting no bait out at all,could it have been put on a tiny black piece of foam and pulled fish in from all over the lake.I doubt it very much and one of them tied a rig up whilst we were talking to them and got the foam out of the packet it comes in.He must of had the hormone already coated on it I'm guessing

The regs at bluebells have seen whatever it is a certain angler uses, shown to them by angler quite openly. Someone should ask one of them.

Who knows? That's my point. People jumping to defend these guys just don't know. If they are using it they should be hung out to dry, if they aren't then anyone naming them specifically should be held accountable for that. It's way too up in the air for anyone to say for sure who is and isn't using or has or hasn't used it in the past. What's clear is this has and is going on, and as a whole angling needs to deal with it. And that means addressing it and not just ignoring it,putting it down to jealousy, or all the other nonsense being spouted about just get on with your own angling. We won't have our own angling much longer with that attitude.
