Perhaps social media is the issue today as what we see sometimes isn't the full picture and folk are easily led
So true, poison thats why I don't do much, not to mention the impact to our kids which I am sure will show its ugly headed later in their lives
So I read today that all the rioting in Southport was because through social media a Muslim name was flying around as the culprit so in anger that's why they rioted and smashed up the mosque.

This show was always very good at undermining nastiness with clever humour.
I mentioned racial profiling already here so I'll not go back over old ground. It exists and it feeds into those statistics.

I don't really care what people's views are. It's a democracy apparently.
I distrust the hard left as much as I distrust the hard right.
I don't like inflammatory language be it right wing rabble rousing or left wing hatred spewing.
I don't base my thinking on internet based ***** or biased newspapers with their own agendas.
I use my own eyes and nearly 70 years on this planet to judge what is what against mainline news ( I don't automatically align with them). I know what I see. I know what I have experienced. I have a fair sense of right and wrong.
So if Isee a right wing rabble rouser I treat any proclamations with caution. If I see protest by people carrying Socialist Workers pre printed banners I treat them with equal caution.
If I see politicians spouting ***** against facts that I have seen, I discount them. If I see groups of ‘activists' in politics using their professional status to **** over the people I log it in the memory banks.
If I see mainstream politicians using vile strewn invective against another party or individual I log it in my mind as a reason to avoid them and their ilk.
If I see political ‘ activists' using underhand tactic to infiltrate well known or political bodies to exert undue influence ( think RSPCA, BMA, Local Government, Local Planning Authorities, and now even the judiciary) to use their narrow views to control others then I automatically refute them.
But what I absolutely abhor, truly abhor, with absolute conviction, is those with deep rooted biased views who hold positions of influence who teach our children and are free to plant their poisoned, often warped personal views in young fertile minds.

There was a planned peaceful demo after the vigil. That was thrown into turmoil with the arrest of a Muslim carrying a knife walking towards the vigil. God only knows what would have happened. But the BBC don't want you to know about that. Couple that with Starmers ignorance when he showed up for a virtue signaling photo op, where he couldn't even be bothered to address the affected locals and ran off, sort of lit the touch paper.
I said previously the Telegraph spilled the beans as to his background.
Don't agree with what happened but I'm not surprised. It's going off again, London, Hartlepool etc. Unfortunately it will continue, all over. It's been brewing for a long time.

What was it 30 plus innocent cops having hospital treatment after the Southport riot who were there to simply uphold the law, defend the public and property. How many more, cars burnt out, not acceptable
