He's one I've never really take too,i dont believe all his captures in the magazines (yes i still buy them)same as a lot of others i think they BS captures of big carp than they actually catch,he's in the limelight he has to mahe it look like he's catching same as the others,people like AP never seem to blank like normal people

Mr baines is talking about the other side of AP and his thoughts on certain things........
It's quite simple to me.......people got whooooooped in a fishing comp for loads of money, their ego was badly hurt and couldn't except the result so they went on a mission to discredit the anglers......it's amazing what lengths people will go to for money!

Works both ways......some will do anything to win ( not in this case IMO ) and others will make up crap when they lose the Money that they thought they were entitled to......

if worms were the cause of this feeding frenzy, the bait company's that sponsor these guys weren't very transparent about what all these carp were caught on. unless they were sponsored by Willie's worms

Happens all the time. Bait companies will pay them to lie. Or offer anglers deals if they say they caught certain fish on their bait.

I'm amazed that given what people have seen with their own eyes from their own angling experiences that anyone could think that this hasn't been going on.
Think about your own fishing. Most of us on here have been at it for decades. Think about all the times you've used a gazillion different boilies, or hookbaits. Think about all the hundreds of different items you've used in spod mixes over decades. Think about all the oils and lotions and potions you've gone through. Think about all the times over the years that you've used maggots, casters and worms. Now think about all your mates you've fished next to over the years and tell me just one time that you've ever witnessed the entire stock of carp suddenly turn up in your unfavored swim and go absolutely ape **** because of any one of these baits that you've used. Tell me one time that the fish have behaved weirdly for a week after you've finished fishing because you used worms. If naturals were causing this you'd be seeing it every week. My god most of us were fishing worms as a kid because they were free and you got as many as you wanted from the garden. You telling me you were emptying lakes?
Open your eyes people. When you've got the likes of Ian Russel telling you it's happening he's not gonna make it up is he? The man owned a bait company. I think he's got a good idea what you can put in a bait to attract fish.
I fish with some of the best anglers in the country. Guys that don't pay for tackle or bait, that have unlimited resources compared to us mortals and I can tell you now that I've never seen them get reactions from fish like what's being described and they can chuck the kitchen sink at them and have lots and lots of time.

I'm sure I remember one of the weekly angling papers mail or times had in their cover that some scientist's had discovered the ultimate bait/additive,but they wouldn't bring it out to general public for obvious reasons
