I have 13ft rods and like the butt ring behind the alarms, so i had to get the centre bar extension, this was difficult and expensive, as they are no longer made , and rare as hens teeth.
I'm not really a fan of the way the buzzbars extend , and as i like my rods wide apart it's a bit of a niggle. The way jag do it looks better to me. I have too much money invested in this set up to change it.
If you're buying a new set-up i would recommend waiting until you have looked at both in the flesh. Of course the way you have your rods set up may have a bearing on your choice.

Tacklebox have updated their pre-order page with the correct dimensions now - 12 inch rear and 14 inch front splay with 425-780mm length (so about 50% longer).

Had mine delivered also, can't believe they had new bags made and still no internal pocket... Guess that'll be the RP3.
They should have named this pod the RP1 XL, made an RP2 adjustable in the arms...

Like I've said recently I sold the rp1 to get this but now sort of regretting as my reels are the daiwa castizm25

The new rp2 will prob better with your castizms as i have the same reels and the handles are quite big for a mini pit reel and you had to have the handle under the reel next to it for them to fit on the rp1.

I have the Rp2 and Cast'izms - not used in anger yet but happy to chuck the rods on the pod in the garden and snap a picture for you.
