News today that an option to recoup the covid debts is to put a 2% sales tax on online purchases in the new budget. Seems a bit of a hostage situation, all in lockdown and non-essential shops are closed, even open many are preferring online shopping because of the ‘rona. So either pay more or risk going to the shops and spreading/getting Covid for a better price? Estimated to raise 2 billion a year. Could have over 100 billion if they taxed the rich and big businesses properly
