Yes it has, that's not in question. It's the why now reason that's the unknown, can't see it being greater resources in Ukraine as you alluded to though mate.
Israel being used as a broker of peace is a smart move. A 3 hour meeting with Putin then straight to a meeting with Scholz and a call with Biden. Hopefully they can speed up an end to this grave situation.

I can only comment on what Putin has said, I'll never know his mind. From what Putin has said, the reasoning is that he wants to rid Ukraine of Nazis and stop Ukraine being a NATO stooge on Russia's doorstep.
I think it wise to watch some of Jimmy Dore's coverage on this this matter on YouTube. In essence, as I've been saying, this has all been crafted by America, specifically Victoria Nuland of the then US state dept - now current Under Secretary - who not only formented the coup in 2014, she also hand picked those to run Ukraine after the then president got toppled with recorded proofs...she was the one who said "f4ck the EU" during the coup.
Countless academics, intellectuals, policy advisors/makers, defence chiefs, you name it, they've all been warning not to agitate Russia in the way that they have, hell, even lunatics like Henry Kissinger have said don't do this. None of the advice has been listened to, it's been totally ignored, arms have been funneled in since before the coup in 2014, the neo Nazis have become part of the greater Ukrainian army, the Minsk Accord has been ignored by Ukraine, the neo Nazis are now saying they've got more Javelin missiles that the UK has sitting stockpiled.

Parroting these "excuses" just makes you look like one of Putin's lackeys.
The long and short of it is that he has illegally invaded a sovereign nation, he has killed countless innocent civilians and further destabilised an already fragile world. All this talk of NATO and Nazi's doesn't justify any of what he has done, and repeating it without proper thinking just plays into his hands. Stop it.

Unfortunately you are being emotional which is clearly stoping you from being rational and applying logic on this subject. Just because the presenter uses the words "The Ukraine", coincidentally a poster on here uses that exact same phrase which i've not seen you condemn - doesn't matter a jot myself - facts are facts wether you like them or not and doesn't diminish those facts just because certain phrases are used outside of the content and context of those facts. Essentially you're employing ad hominem/logical fallacy argument.
I'll agree with you that Putin shouldn't have invaded as I've already said in previous posts of mine. What I've attempted to do in my posts on this matter is to try and give another view and opinion/balance thats not being widely circulated in the media which gives a different perspective as to Putin's 'why'. The Russians have always stated that NATO expansion into Ukraine is their "red line", this warning was ignored and as we see, these are the consequences.
I don't know where you're getting your information from, although I can take a very good guess; i'll ask you this: don't you think it wise to have a broad and varied spectrum of information, even if that information conflicts with other information so as to get the 'whole' picture, or best you can garner from that all gathered information?
