Sooner or later as it progresses NATO will get involved .

Think you'll find Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia were republics within the USSR, exactly like Ukraine. They're in NATO, like I say flawed.

The difference is that the Ukraine has a large amount of resources in comparison. Hence why he has gone for that.

You think it's a war for resources? I can't see why the Russians would turn themselves into a pariah state for decades for resources. Who and what are they going to sell too to make the gain worth the pain?

Call me cynical mate but...
They're going to sell to us. And everyone else they previously sold to once the dust settles and the various governments revert to type.
Boris might have got his hands on a few posh houses for his wealthy mates and some pesky foreigners might have their yachts moved on, but look at how putin was treated after his previous actions... contracts, major sports events, political influence (the UN security Council as an example)
Do you really think that huge pipeline through Germany isn't going to be resumed with Russian fuel at some point?
Is Essex going to become the breadbasket of the world overnight?
Like I said, it's cynical but even for someone who tries to see the best in people, I can't believe those in power will suddenly grow some integrity and morals.

I get the cynicism Mal, it's justified. Fact is they are still selling to us right now. Yes that will continue, but under our terms, for product's we can't source elsewhere for now.
