I expect their business model is such that they do not need to offer an after service if someone knackers one of their bivvies - they work on the basis they are cheap enough that you just buy another one.

With the volume they shift, I can't imagine they would lose much sleep if you didn't buy a replacement.

The £450 people are quoting could be their RRP. If you look at their website, all their products are discounted so whilst the £450 could be their recommended price, they may well sell for substantially less than that.

True, but there are regulations for selling gear and after service.

they are getting mixed reviews on Facebook with regards after sales service. I wont lie, it made me think twice when i was looking at the M4 .... of course, having said the big guys are regularly slaughtered for customer service also,

Cyprinus arent stupid, they have seen the interest for the Typhoon and will price according to potential demand .... My guess is they will start discounting after the initial clamour has died down

I have nothing but praise for there customer service. Wanted to return a bivvy last year because it was not what i wanted and they refunded me £100 to keep it which was fine as i sold it for the remaining balance i was owed.

Bought the 1 man M4 and returned via drop and swap for the 2 man within 2 days of asking.......

They will be making quite a bit of money when customers call the customer service line which is a premium number

Expect to pay upto 50p a minute.

What a rip off.

Bivvies with sewn in groundsheets are best used with a footprint. Which is basically a separate groundsheet under the zip in one. I have this on my Fox Euro continental dome. It saves having to clean the groundsheet attached to the bivvy.
