I don't need to make my own for pennies because it solves a "problem" that doesnt exist for the vast majority of anglers. Because I'm not a lazy angler I tie nice fresh rigs every session.

I like to tie my rigs to suit the swim I'm fishing, and that swim choice depends on what I find when I arrive at the water. To tie them at home means that I'm either just "making do" with whatever I've tied (lazy angling) , or decided where I'm fishing before I've even arrived (lazy/poor angling in the majority of situations imo) . No doubt omc will sell some of these, as will ngt in a couple of months when their version comes out. When it comes to inventing problems to then fix,Korda are king but omc may be hot on their tails now. Surely they could have come up with something better to launch their brand with....

Do you actually fish much though?
Have you ever packed up in a swim to go to work in a plan to get back in that swim when you turn up again that night in the dark. Having your rigs perfect and ready to go and not have to piss about tying or straightening rigs in the wind and rain is a problem I'd like solved.
Ever fished a Reservoir where its a very featureless bowl. You can garantee with 99% accuracy which ever swim you pick, your rig choice isn't going to change. After you've spent 5 hours walking and climbing trees, having your rigs ready to cast out without any faf seems like a nice treat.
Ever fished a mega weedy lake, where every swim is just chock full of weed, and you know full well you are going to be using the same rig pretty much anywhere.
Or perhaps a lake where you are pre baiting several very similar spots, you know your spots, and you know what rigs you are going to be using.
I know some people like to turn up and change thier rig to the exact mm, use different coloured shrink tube for different substrates and change every little thing. In which case, they don't want to be turning up with their rigs ready to go.
But for some others like me, especially when turning up in the dark, want as little work as we can possibly do when turning up. If that means carrying 3 seperate rig boards instead of one big rig board then so be it?

When I was a chod clone I kept my curved sections in a little Nash chod bin . . .I could get about 20x links in there and the box was smaller than a T mug. If I wanted to fish a stiff hinged I generally tied / crimped the boom on the bank but more usually just left it on the rod when packing away (butt ring / velcro method) and re-formed the curve with my fingers on the next outing . . .hardly a chore . . .

So? What's the issue with solving a minor irritation?
Having to tie on pop ups is a minor irritation, so i use bait screws. Because they exist and solved that issue. What's the issue with wanting tk make everything as simple and irritation free as possible?

I probably don't carp fish as much as you do these days because after over 30 years doing it I've realised there are many species out there which are just as fun to target, if not moreso. Thankfully I do fish waters which have variety too so preconceived ideas generally are a waste of time.

So it is useful for some situations then.
So what is your problem. Why do you have to shun everything. Just accept for some people, it's a product they may need. Just because you don't want or need something, doesn't make it uselss.

I don't shun everything at all Sam, stop being dramatic. This thread has many people saying what a load of crap basically, and you insisting you have a "problem" which has now been solved. If it was that much of a "problem" , these contraptions would have been bought out by someone years ago. It's one for the sheep.

Before the Trakker hook ups I actually had some I made I'd lost a few over the years but the price you can pick them up for now from the shop I have them on all my rods and spares for when I loose/break one etc and for a lot less than three of OMC jobs.
They go on all my hooklinks for any rigs, if I use a lead clip I pop the lead off and put it in the rod sleeve pocket I have about five options in size and shape in each rod sleeve so I can adjust to suit swim/situation, if I'm fishing helicopters or running I have the lead arrangement where I can remove the lead, (plenty of products available for this scenario) no need to have a lead banging around the rod blank. I have a pot for my curved hooklinks if ones kinked or hookpoint turned cut it off and a ready assembled one to tie back on or just reshape tie on bait and lob it out.
I basically fish about three different waters every year and have a different set up for each including bivvies, beds, unhooking mats,nets/slings etc....one lake I fish is small hard clay (lead clip) fishing or solid bags come winter, one is gravel weed generally bigger chucks all on helicopter set-up all year as weed stays prevalent and the other lake dictates in the rules leadclip and tubing, in all instances except for loosing the last metre setups don't change only the hooklinks might.
If people like this product and can see a use for it crack on your money no judgement from me if a company bring it out and loose a shirt on it same applies if they make money from it well done, who cares at the end of the day it's only a bit of fishing some people just get far too involved or emotional about the small things, others believe because they've been at it since the dawn of man their advice is gospel and how dare you not and get stroppy with replies others think their opinion is the only one that's right when hey who cares what your opinion is, some are anti vaxxers some are ok with vaccines, at the end of the day people can offer opinions and advice if it's helpful to people great, if not who cares life is too short anyway my sort of Friday get it off my chest moment.

Have they said whether or not you have to be vaxed to use this product? Can you store vaccines in it between Jabs? Cos at this rate we will need one once a week to go fishing soon.
