Just bought a used set of 3 atts and reciver but I'm having a weird problem the reciver only works with the battery it came with I have bought some new batteries just in case the other one runs out but the reciver won't turn on. Any ideas to why this is happening?

Try a reset..
To factory reset an ATT Deluxe receiver, press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons on the side of the receiver while turning it on. After about 5 seconds, all five LEDs should flash from the center outwards, indicating a successful reset. This resets the receiver to its factory settings.

This may sound slightly insane but.......
I have found some batteries to be slightly (and I mean slightly) shorter than others. Had a similar issue with a kids toy, flexed the contact out a touch and it was fine.
Otherwise is the new battery working? and as per above factory reset always worth a go

Batteries are fine and its not a deluxe reciver. Ill have a look at the length tomorrow.

I had a set of four for my nevs. Stopped working sent them off for repair last bit longer. Never used after that. In my view they are pure crap.

Bought them because I heard they were bulletproof and I seem to break everything I touch seems the curse still follows me

I've got a set that are probably 10 plus years old and they're as good today as they were back then.
The last time I fished Bin el Ouidane the water level came up a huge amount overnight, in the morning my rods, reels, alarms were all at least 30cm under water.
The alarms still work to this day.

Just checked the new batteries and there the same size only difference is the old one is a Duracell plus and has a different model number. Even still it's not turning on with a new battery.

That really doesn't make sense ? I had the original receiver before I got the deluxe version and remember the battery being a tight fit but they worked , I'm sure you are putting them in correctly but could be worth checking you are , as it makes no logical sense that old batteries would work but new ones don't??

OK I've just had a look at my old receiver which I kept as a spare. The first thing I noticed was it has a Tesco high power battery in it, I tried to put a duracell battery in it but it was just too big ? I couldn't force the battery in to the chamber which is weird ? Maybe try a different make of battery as if your having to force a duracell in it may not be making contact correctly, where as the old duracell could be slightly smaller?

I'll try to find some more now. I have no idea what's happening with it I agree it makes no sense the battery fits fine tried all 5 from the pack all of them work as I tried the on a remote

Okay I have found another battery. The reciver now turns on but when I test the alarm the reciver will light up and let out a single beep nothing else. I'll try find another incase this one is dying or dead.

Get a multimeter and test your batteries, make sure they are at least 1.5v

Tried 2 packs of brand new batterys none of them have worked messaged the guy I bought them off apparently no problems when he had them.

I'm assuming the old battery which came with it , makes the receiver work fine still ?
If that's not the case then maybe a loose connection or something within the receiver ?
