Looking for an upgrade undecided between Nash hide XL Pro, Tempest 100T EV or the new solar SP uni spider. Unfortunately only seen the trakker set no displays locally of the other too.

I've got the hide pro Xl. Great bivvy. But the first one I had got replaced as the coating on the seems started to perish and now the replacement one I got is doing it too 😡

I spent over £800 on the new sp uni spider bivvy did one night in it
And was not happy totally crap the list of issues I had with it was endless
It went straight back to the tackle shop I showed them the problems and got my
Money back. And I was told they sent all the solar sp uni spider bivvy back to
Solar so definitely avoid it the video looks great on YouTube but until you use som
Then you really understand the importance of trying it out for yourself

Your the 2nd person thats not been happy with the SP uni spider ?
I have the spider compact and bloody love it and was a bit miffed as shortly after buying it and all the extras they announced the The Uni Spider its made me feel a lot better hearing its not as good

Definitely not as good. Going to wait on a few more reviews of the Prologic and the new Avid bivvy and likely to sell my Solar and get one of these 2

I do mate and been using that over the uni spider in recent weeks.
The main issue for me is the setting up. It takes so much longer than a brolly and the Tempest I had before my Undercover brolly. Getting the front arms out and clipped is a massive struggle (for me anyway) and if im doing that in the rain its going to be hugely frustrating. The mozzy mesh also does not work anywhere near as well as it should, or does on the marketing. Pegging it out without it being saggy isn't easy and it rarely, if ever closes fully when you exit like its designed to do. Once up I like the space and the features and the material.is good quality, but I bought it for the easy set up and mozzy mesh, and neither of those deliver what I was expecting

I completely agree with the mozzie mesh, couldn't get it to sit right the few times I have used it.
Regarding setup - I am surprised you find it a struggle. Are you releasing the front tension straps beforehand? I find this way quicker to put up than my frontier XD (which I found to be terrible in comparison of quality, mostly around the top spreader block!).
I also got the smaller extension a couple of weeks ago at a brilliant price, took my boy and had shed loads of room for us both.

Really interesting reading these as have been looking at the solar uni as a possibility for a upgrade for next year.... would be good if the chaps who have had them get some reviews up with there likes and dislikes.
Have seen the Avids Evo as well and looks extraordinary at that price point... but never really seen any of their bivvies before so hard to know how it will perform

I've had the standard Nash Hide XL for a few years now. I don't use it that often and have never dried any bivvy after use ever and it's absolutely fine each time I do use it. Decent bivvy IMHO.
