I won some out of advanced carp magazine in 2014 and borrowed my brother gear when I moved back to midlands(long story bout my gear)and I tried them out and within 15 minutes of putting first rod out and setting second rod up I had a 15lb common on them, haven't used them since.
Had to use them up fairly quick at the time as I had nowhere to store them as they were freezer baits, pretty certain it was the ASBO boilie I won and it stank.

I would personally give them a miss, the bait I have seen hasn't been of a very good standard. Dry and crumbly if I remember right. They roll plenty of bait for other firms and I know of a few issues where certain ingredients have been missed by accident.

Do a search but basically, it's sh*t

Lots of waters around me promote it as they sell it in their shops and it has a little following because of it. They are all holes absolutely brimming with easy fish and even easier anglers of which i was one!

Just to give you an example, Mad baits advertised a lad having a red letter weekend because of their bait. He had 11 fish over a 48 hour weekend on pandemic. I fished the same lake last year and had 73 fish in 48 hours, all on little bits of black foam!

I did 18 months on the asbo and pandemic and found it to be really inconsistent from bag to bag. The pandemic was a much better bait than the asbo but that isn't saying much. I moved companies after having 20 kilo that pretty much turned itself to crumb and have had 3 very different seasons since.

Their equipment is good and they roll decent bait for others but their own bait is cheap for a reason.

People will tell you that they do ok on it. I can say with quite a lot of confidence (from experience) that they'd do a lot better on a different bait

As already hinted at there's better firms out there. Having spoke to a guy who gave mad baits a good recipe it turns out they couldn't afford to make it so cut it heavily with cheap filler!! Like anything, it's gonna catch fish but not a quality nutritional bait imo. The crumbly texture I would guess is caused by replacing a big % of egg with water.

I'm a bit surprised at the negativity about these guys as I thought they were ok.

Hi is/was a field tester for them by looks of it and he owned a tackle shop called hammond's,going back to mad baits not sure if use them again they slipped my mind over the years as you never see a lot of adverts of them anywhere and I've never seen tackle shops selling them either.

I knew someone who made their own bait when I lived down in Southampton tried to flog me some want keen on it he called it rezzie specials as It was tested on a little lake by the river itchen.
Tried it never had a sniff on it he swore it was best thing since sliced bread blah blah lol but don't all the bait companies say similar things.
I used to make my own bait using nutrabaits basemixes and another companies base mix and caught on them on the river and the lake,at least I knew what was going in them.

Marcus's Ressi specials are very similar to an incredibly well know bait. It's almost as if he was the Source of both baits.....

My mate uses them, says their bait is pretty decent, always trying to get me to buy some, but I'll stick to ABS & Trent Baits thanks
