What's going on with this place? I saw that it's re-opening and it's only about 3-4 miles away from me.

Anyone planning on giving it a visit?

It has now reopened but is iced over i believe so not fishable at the minute.

Was a lovely lake when i fished it 6/7 years ago but haven't been for a good while.

By all accounts the 'big names' have been in the more favourable pegs since its opened back up leaving us minions in the limited leftovers

Sadly there's alot of this going on throughout the land not just at Orchid lakes

Cannot see how, its on the gocatch app now so you go on and either book a watercraft swim or a bookable swim, maybe a case of getting in and booking early otherwise the swim you want is gone but it's open to all.

What happened to the guy that lived in one of the swims?

The GoCatch app wont let you book the normal bookable swims for some reason. I've messaged them but no reply...

Probably because the swim app has virtual 'buckets' in the better pegs, for high profile influencers and sponsored anglers.

Yeah I'm only a couple of miles away, I was thinking of giving it a go - but on the app, I can only book a watercraft swim, I couldn't figure out how to book anything else..

I'm sure that's what's going on over Orchid and other well known day ticket venues
I watched the latest avid video no only Crow and Ellis on the lake wonder why ?
Famous names sell so its advertising me thinks
