But even so.
I wanted to try a hinged bed that could fold a bag inside.
Also lighter and a bit smaller.
Bought from Bobco Tackle. First one the little black blanking
End caps came off on half the tubes immediatly.
But worse first overnighter and a middle leg mechanism broke.
Bit chaotic at Bobco but eventually got a replacement sent
I bought some superglue and glued on the 3 end caps that fell off as I removed the packaging. I checked the others they were fine. Used the bed last night, and voila, 3.more missing.
The tubing is unfinished and sharp and may cut stuff
So now I've asked Whychwood for replacements.

I had one and thought they where cheaply made tbh I have a wychwood tactical chair and that's cheaply made bought it for the river because it is light to walk around wouldn't buy again

I've never had an issue with mine, just annoying the legs don't lock into position.
And you need a sim on it lol like laying on the floor

I've already tightend those legs so they don't swing about.
I know the endcaps is a daft little problem. But bloody hell
Coming off as you remove the packaging. Mind you they aren't like a plug that sticks in. Just like a plastic 2 pence glued on
And yes, it's hardly comfy. Lot.of.cracking reviews on here when they came out though.

I had one years ago and after trying it in the garden for 2 minutes it was quite clear it was crap, so I sent it back.

Good old Wychwood, I messaged them on FB
They replied and gave me email for Leeder customer services.
Sent them the photos and they replied and are sending me a few spares.
3 24nhour sessions I've done and nit once have I been able to use it as intended re packing up as something always needs sorting lol

ive had mine a couple of years and must have done over 300 nights on it.
There are elements of the build that are cheap - the leg adjusters especially, and as they are on the 'outside' they are exposed, one of mine has broken off (but the leg still adjusts).
I have run some doubled over velcro under the lumber support elastic, you can then secure the legs for transport.
I find the bed very comfortable (with a SIM) and light, and think that the build quality is reflected in the price...

I agree re the price only paid 140 for it.
Whereas my main bed a Mk2 indulgence wideboybwas near on
300 over a decade ago.

Had mine for a couple of years, never had an issue with it, I think they feel a bit cheap because they are so light, but that's why I bought it, easier to lift etc

I can see how light can feel cheap. But I gave away a fully sprung JRC stealth bedchair to a mate to make use of this . And that hadn't had problems for 14 years or so. And that's lighter.
Now I admit, it had adjusting wheels and was narrower and a bit low. And I wanted a hinge to fold a bag but even so I wasn't expecting such a drop in quality and comfort.
I can see how light can feel cheap. But I gave away a fully sprung JRC stealth bedchair to a mate to make use of this . And that hadn't had problems for 14 years or so. And that's lighter.

I can relate to what your saying mate,plus I can add a bit more..
The compact version I had ,contributed to a severe internal injury ,ie a torn core muscle ,which took six months to heal ..
I got up quick to respond to a fast take,pop,pop,pop..that was the sounds of flesh tearing internally,the fact the mattress has no give ,certainly didn't help...
Got rid asap...worst bedchair I have had thus far..

I read loads of posts about the beds and whilst many said they used a SIM. (Which I felt I could mostly ignore as was just for overnighters and have never really been uncomfortable on any bed.)
I figured it's other attributes were worth a gamble.

nothing but praise for this bedchair from me,stuck a sim on it and it's the best night sleep I've had

Same as me,it ticked a lot of boxes at the time..
My end caps also fell off,lol...I bought a discontinued RT,Avid which has terrible reviews,but I've not had a issue in over four years..
