Does anybody have any suggestions on a particular bivvy or brolly that is lightweight and has a small packdown?
I had the tempest v2 and really liked it but recently purchased the fox frontier bivvy.
It's an awesome bivvy but just too heavy / bulky just for an overnight session.
Any suggestions welcome.

The Wychwood Tactical Compact is really compact and light:
Weight INC G/SHEET & PEGS; 6kg
Dimensions ERECT; 2400mm (w) x 1650mm (d) x 1250mm (h)
Dimensions PACKED; 1200mm (l) x 180mm (d) x 180mm (w)
Could even make it a bit lighter if you leave the groundsheet at home.

Aqua/cyprinus fast and light is my go to. Does what it says on the tin, I'd personally not bother with the aqua version as you're paying for the badge.
Hammered mine for 1.5 years now and it's the best shelter I've ever owned and it's cost me under £100

I'm in the same market. The lightest options I've found are the Fox Easy Shelter/Easy Shelter +(3kg / 3.8kg) and Wychwood Tactical Compact (4kg without groundsheet, 6kg with). Be aware on the Fox that as it's essentially a pop up tent it packs down into a flat and wide disk, rather than a tube like almost all other shelters.
Personally I think they're both too low in height for my needs, and am planning to get the Trakker Tempest 100T which is a much bigger and taller shelter but much the same weight as the others (also 6kg) for night sessions and have bought the Korum Graphite Brolly Shelter (3kg+500g of pegs) as a day shelter.

I also find the 100T to be a good overnighter shelter
It's not that long when packed.down. my Aqualite
And even Fox Evo X brolly are much.longer.
It weighs a couple of Kilos more but for overnighters setup and packdown speed is my main interest anyway.

The lightest that you'll find for “quick” overnighters is probably an Aqua Atom. The original is tiny, and the later plus version is more of an oval brolly size. Both pack up tiny and are very quick to set up.
I used one for years, and used to break the poles in 2 places so it rolled up not much bigger than a 45” brolly and weighs around 3kg. Only reason that I don't use one anymore is that I'm old with a dodgy back, and found it a little too low.

I have a solar undercover brolly, used once for sale in classifieds. Its not far off rod length when packed down, and take the infil out, its fairly light

That's interesting, may be better to hold off till then, knowing my luck I'll buy something then it will come out.

The Aqua atom is not quick to put up same as putting up a pram hood bivvy only smaller and the poles are a nightmare to break down I've had 2

My best bit of kit would be lost without it so good I've got the Cyprinus mk3 with a wrap!! My £800 bivvy and wrap is gathering dust..
Barrow is so light and can get in the tightest swims....did compromise and got a compact bedchair for more room so check the size layout!!
