Having looked back through many of the old threads regarding the new Delkim txid's there has been the odd mention of water ingress . Thankfully however not on the scale of the older txi plus alarms . My question is that now the txid's have been around a reasonable amount of time what are people's thoughts on any issues regarding water ingress or any other issues for that matter , many thanks .

My last txi pluses were a nightmare for water ingress and it took me a while to make decision to get the d's but ive had them since they came out and i haven't had a single issue with them and they have took a battering on the banks of the trent in all conditions and getting knocked about in the boot of the car on banksticks. You will always get the odd one with water ingress due to the volumes they sell. Nothing is 100% reliable. I cant fault them. People say they are fiddly to set up but they couldnt really be simpler. I set mine up at home which took 10 mins and i havent changed the settings in the last two years other than altering the sensitivity with the r knob.

Same as for me, apart from mine havent been on the trent. Spent a week in the rain along with numerous other rainy days and nights and no issues at all

Thanks . Although I saw the odd mention of water ingress problems it was to be honest during the early day's of them being released. Now that they have been around long enough to get a true idea . Complicated to set up - I'll be honest like you once they're initially set up I won't be forever playing with them other than the sensitivity so not an issue. I just really wanted to know that having spent the money they would be reliable , thanks.

The amount of alarms they sell you're always going to get one slip through.It can happen to anything,I really like them but I just can't move away from my fox alarms

Dont think you can go wrong with either fox or delkim. Your either a fox man or delkim man, both are excellent. I almost became a wolf man but still cant change my mind on the size or looks of them. If i could pick a fault with delkim it would be the battery connection and change it to aa's but ive never broken a wire yet on the connector so not an issue really.

Cannot fault fine one bit. Once set up, which is ten mins , don't need to touch em... only 1 regret is buying 3 blue led's...can't see em clearly in the day when I get a random beep 😂

A friend had his pulled into the drink and it took him 15mins to sort the fish out and find his alarms. A dry out and some compressed air sorted the grit out behind the push buttons, no problems since.

Can only agree with the above. Had mine a couple of seasons and been through some horrendous storms without missing a beat.

I bought a new set after having NTXR's for a long time as I was apalled by the cost of RX+'s.
Initially very posititive but I fish a very open lake exposed to the wind and rain, I needed to back off the sensitivity again and again to try and stop false alarms from wind and rain, I contacted Delkim directly as I was struggling and got a response that appeared to make sense and I made adjustments as guided.
When I woke one morning to find my hookbait 30 metres from the spot and no indication I lost ALL confidence. No doubt due to reduced sensitivity to try and stop false alarms from rain and wind......
The new Delks were sidelined and a set of ATT's found on marketplace and picked up on the way home. Revelation.... Great alarms... Delks were on marketplace in the week and sold.
So when I get line movement I now get an alarm now which the TXI-D's failed to do.
Sorted. I am not anti Delkim at all but I won't be considering them at any time in the near future.

I know this is a txi thread but I have the fox rx+ and the original fox euro swingers. I just set them to suit the distance am fishing and the wind conditions and. Unless I get a bite. No sleepless nights and no pick ups with no registration.

No issue at all, but never had problems with the previous ones. Sat through many a wet session, used them in freezing temperatures, high temperatures, hail and even snow storms, strong winds on big waters, the lot... 100% all the time. Only 'issue' I can mention is the buttons on the front can stick a bit - where a small bit of dirt gets in there, easily sorted by flushing out with some water or a blast of compressed air. Had mine since they came out, so a lot of use and all 4 have been excellent. Best alarm on the market, end of. Some negative comments above, user error, sorry, but it is.
