Hello, I am getting my fishing gear out after a 10 year break (well night fishing) as family health and owning dogs and work etc etc took over for a while.
Wondering what bivvy is good these days for around £400 to £600 budget don't mind a good mint used one either so doesn't have to be new..
I plan to start going about March/April right up until December, at least twice a month for 2/3 nights.
Any help would be appreciated.

The Trakker Tempest is a solid platform. The bivvies/brollies are well made, go up very quickly and there is a selection of options to meet different needs and budgets.

I've had a lot of bivvys. I still have 4 but I find I'm using
The Tempest 100T more than the others .
Some might want a bit more internal space for longer sessions
But I find I've enough room with a wideboy bed. The compactness is needed on my lakes anyway. The full size pioneer won't fit.
I like the extra height. The speed of setup. The skull cap staying on permanently. The infil zips aren't fiddly like others I've had.
For.me it's nearly the perfect bivvy.

I totally agree. I also have an Armo but only ever use the 100T Brolly now.

I bought the XD last year, and the options and upgrades on it are brilliant. Fantastic in summer with all the windows zipped down and little features like the pockets in each corner, groundsheet that folds back and a door height of 165CM are great for me.

What do you have already, I have two that are 30 plus years old and nothing on the market causes me to want a new one other that the protection factor a Titan offers.
Let me elaborate I have a Nash Canvas and Hog and a Powerplus professional nether bettered imo.
I purchased a Titan purely for windy winter nights when things go from calm to potential dangerous.
All other bivvies are much of the same as my two as in continuance or space.
Personally I'd look for any one of the above second hand although it's the Titan you will find most regularly.
All other bivvies are pretty much of a muchness decent enough for the purpose etc.

It's a cheaper brolly type with zip on front panel, did the job over 10 years ago.. Cant remember brand was abouut £175 back then, but not got it out shed and as I want to fish going into autumn/winter I feel I should get something better. Also getting older cold is felt easier haha

Look at he Wychwood Range, however check your own Bivvy out spent managing a night mid winter under an oval without the winter skins canvas/nylon. A good bag and bedchair is paramount the Bivvy umbrella is only to keep the elements at bay

I have collected and used a few bivvies in my time .... I currently have Evo's, Tempests, Groundhogs and a few Trakker/Aqua pramhood bivvies .... If i had to choose one, it would always be a pramhood. For me the pramhood is still the most reliable, simple and bomb proof design

I use mine quite regularly, deemed to be one of the all time greats. Never felt the need for a dillo or ultra both decent enough mind. The PP is lighter than the T1 Titan and I can almost stand up in mine.

Slx is indeed great (have the plus) but for 1 man i 100% preff my Frontier XD, my frontier Xd is smaller on the outside then the Slx v3 1 man (Slx 100) but i have alot more room in my Xd then in a Slx v3 1man.
