My reserve of old Nash Chocolate Malt has finally run out and Max at Nash has confirmed that they are unable to help with a replenishment.

Does anyone know any other compnies/ flavour houses that offer a good chocolate malt? I've had a sample of the catchit labs flavour but it wasnt really what I was after. Alternatively if anyone has some Nash chocolate malt I would be tempted to cross your palm with silver (not RH Mulberry on ebay silver!).

I've just send you a PM. Maybe I can help you, I have some of the earlier bottles of the Nash Chocolate malt to offer.

Tbh I don't even think there is a decent chocolate malt on the market anymore and using a old flavour in mind is not the best idea due to to the amount of time its been in the bottle, storage conditions, exposure to heat, etc.
You mentioned that the Catchit Labs sample you received was not what you expected it to be. If you order from Catchit then please make sure your order the double strength version of any flavour.
CCmoore chocolate malt is meant to be really good and as an alternative Nutrabaits chocolate cream elite is also very good.

Geoff at ABS uses a chocolate malt in a few of their baits & I can't see him using any rubbish. I don't know if they do just sell flavours but a phone call wouldn't hurt...

Finally got a bait that we all want to eat!! We use two choc malts, and I have spoken to max at nash and I can understand the issues he has had with supplying it. It's his call at the end of the day but I can find out more when I see him in a few days time

Jay Ryder will probably know the recipe. Whether there's an ingredient issue 🤷🏻‍♀️

nowadays flavours don't tend to be compounded with their investigative trigger chemicals that they used to due to tightening of food regulations regarding whats safe and what isn't. and all the old bottles will be oxidised / will have reacted with the bottles etc and changed on a molecular level.

Essential oils, oleoresins, acids and sugars would be a more sucessful venture for your efforts
