Go on there website and you can download an application form. Be prepared for a wait of at least two years for a ticket. Might be a bit quicker if you live in the Dartford area.

They have an increasingly elderly membership and due to increasing numbers of oap members are now reducing the intake of ordinary members who replace drop puts each year. They need to limit the total number of members because of overcrowding on the banks. They are putting up the cost of membership and introducing a night ticket as well which is in addition to normal membership.
Btw they have just banned rigmarole steel lined Rig tube and Nash plastic snowman bait screws on safety grounds.

Hope this is ok, I just copied and pasted from Bob Elliss's update on the situation; this the first of 3 I believe that set's out the dispute. I do not know any parties involved (except Bob Morris by name only and since I first started angling late 70's) so am only passing on info as requested concerning this dispute. I can add the subsequent posts from BM if asked also..

Although I had decided not to come on here and get involved in discussion, the overwhelming response to Mr Elliss's post concerning my 3 year dispute with the club D.D.A.P.S. over access to the lake at the bottom of my garden, which I have used for the past 30 years (without complaint) demanded a reply. I am really stunned by the volume of support and kind words that I have received on this page. And also via email and even snail mail. I would like to thank everyone (including Mr Elliss) for this, and feel almost humbled by it, if that is the right word.
I really have no wish to hurt the club, or drag their name further through the dirt, as they seem extremely capable of doing that for themselves. But I would like just to say a few words about the current situation. You have heard from my good friend Paul Jones who accompanied me to a meeting with the club recently, and when I say the club it was in the form of Robin Monday and Clive Archer. And for anyone who does not know, they are Chairman and Vice Chairman. The idea of this was to discuss the problem, and hopefully see a way through to some form of compromise, as had been suggested by both my solicitor and HMRC Land Registry Office.
With this in mind, I had in my pocket a sheet of paper with a few ideas and suggestions about how we might progress. Unfortunately as Paul has said I was straight away subjected to a blunt ultimatum, with phrases such as ‘our only and final offer' ‘take it or leave it' and ‘you were warned' being used. As there was obviously no chance of a compromise or negotiation taking place, I put it to them that the club was being run by the two of them, and that there was actually no effective committee, secretary, membership secretary, treasurer etc. We were both stunned when they freely admitted that this was indeed the case, and that it was just the pair of them! This was however, what I had suspected all along, and I am sure that it is their inflexible and uncompromising attitude to this issue that has been the problem/stumbling block from the start. As a long-standing committee member of another club, I however appreciate that their contribution to the club may be considerable.
I have this morning received a letter from the clubs solicitors T G Baynes Dartford, which threatens me with immediate court action and expenses if I don't drop my right of way application. One thing that really made me smile in-spite of all this, is that they refer to their clients as The Dartford and District Angling and TREE Preservation Society, is this really true?
In the spirit of compromise and negotiation, I offered these suggestions to the club, but not as a final demand or threat.
Please could you compensate me for the £3,500. that I have had to spend in legal fees so far.
Please could you drop your opposition to my access onto the lake/bank which I have enjoyed WITHOUT COMPLAINT or problem for 30 years. YOU HAVE ONLY BEEN THERE FOR 6 YEARS.
Please could you return my membership, that I've had for 55 years acting as a loyal and supportive participant.
Please could you compensate me for the immense grief and stress, you have caused to myself and my wife over the last 3 years. I have no idea how this could ever be achieved.
I have no real need to pursue a legal right of way, and will indeed be happy to drop it, if you are prepared to come to a sensible agreement with me over this access. My solicitor assures me that this can be done, legally and with protection for both parties.
Finally I would seriously suggest to the whole club membership (at least 3000 of them) the committee or whoever, that with the first AGM coming up soon, that you consider finding yourselves some new blood to elect into the key positions. This will hopefully save the club spending many thousands of pounds (OF THE MEMBERS MONEY) on this ridiculous court case, and other dubious ventures.
Unfortunately I can't be there at the meeting, AS YOU HAVE THROWN ME OUT OF THE CLUB.

Have no experience of the other waters, but Brooklands and Baldwins are carp fishing history. They have done a lot of work to make the lakes more pleasant on the eye, and the lakes no doubt has some lovely old fish in them. That's about where the pleasantries end. They have no desire to minimise the amount of thefts that occur, something that has been an issue for decades. Some have got away without issue, others have been involved in multiple thefts.
They recently banned alcohol on the lakes, which resulted in neighbouring waters having to deal with drunks and people wandering about in the early mornings with a tinnie in hand.

Tackle thefts at Brooklands have been a problem for 40 years as it's unfenced and the local dross wander around in the early hours. I remember a bailiff throwing a couple of low life's off the bridge many years ago. You can't get away with things like that today unfortunately. That's why I now only fish on the fenced, and secure members only waters.

I have heard nothing about this and as I value my membership I won't comment. Sounds like the lawyers need to sort it out.

Cant see how banning Alcohol on DDAPS waters has seen an upturn in drunken behaviour on other local waters, some how.
