Best way to get all the reel handles in the same direction, when they are on the rod pod
I can do it, but I'm convinced that I'm doing it wrong

What reels are you using mate?

Mine have a kind of circular motion for the handles which makes it easy to line them up if needs be.

Hold the reel handle still, and spin the rod until where you want it to be.

I'm convinced that it is this lack in of attention to detail that is making me struggle on my syndicate. I need to take note of this thread and make changes

Excellent idea, unfortunately the rods are too long to spin freely, I have therefore purchased a 12ft step ladder and this now works perfectly whilst standing on the top of said ladder. Can also aid fish spotting too.

A step ladder is a good idea but a bit heavy to carry. I am currently field testing Nash bushwacker stilts, I can get up to 15 feet at the moment. Once the extra sections are in stock the sky's the limit.

Handles have to be level even the knobs have to sit at the same angle,rods level,bobbins perfect.The biggest part a few miss though is the line entering the water has to be at the exact same point from rod tip to water.If you do all this your catch rate will sky rocket

The simplest way, just loosen the nut at the opposite side of the handle, when its loose, just pull the handle out slightly and turn it till its aligned with the others and then retighten the nut. And ifs it slightly out still because of the splines alignment inside the reel, just turn the handle slightly. It might put your handles out of alignment and synch with your bail arms etc and feel funny but, no one will notice.

But there again, you can just slacken off your drag, hold your line tight and turn your handle. The spool will slip on the loose drag until you get your handle in the right place. You might get a bit of line twist, but who cares, your reels will look perfect as if placed in position by some "Feng Shui" expert and the energy will flow down the reels handles down the rod, along the line to your rig and attract fish from far and wide , but also do not forget to get your spools right too, you cannot have one portruding more from the reel than the others as it will disrupt the flow of energy with lots of bad Karma.

So long as I do not have a handle below another reel or over its bail arm so they clash on picking them up, I don't give two hoots.

So grateful for the advice. Clearly been doing it so wrong for so long, it does all make sense now

Couldn't you just set up in sub aqua gear, turn off the anti reverse, swim out to the rig, find the lead and pull it away from the reel (and the baited area) whilst a mate checks when the handles are lined up? That would seem a lot easier to me than pissing about on the bank. Also means you're fishing off the baited spot, which is a guarantee of catching the biggun.

Just noticed the title of the topic, its "Rod Handles" that need synchronising.

Simplest way, get a bankstick or a piece of 4 x 2 and just place it flush against the butts till they all line up, but be careful that you do have it at a 90 degree angle to your rods, otherwise they will be diagonal and a definite recipe for a blank.

But where is the most carpy place to have said handles
12 o'clock 2 o'clock 6 o'clock surely that matters just a s much

Personally
as long as the roller wheels are at the point closest to the rod I don't care where the handles end up or at what part of the Stroke the spool is at.
