I'm in the market for some new alarms but unsure what to purchase, I've had Delkims txi plus alarms for quote some years now without any issues but would maybe like a change so am looking at the Fox alarms but just wondering if I should just upgrade to the new Delkims as the old ones were reliable... Any info would be much appreciated

I recently upgraded my delks to the latest model more than happy with the updates having used Delkims since 96.

Ask yourself why change from your existing delkims - if they are reliable.
Spend the money elsewhere I'd say.
I'm been using my TXIs since 1999. I would only change them if they stopped working & were uneconomical to fix.

I've had the new ones since they come out and never had a problem with them, fished in all weathers perfect for me.

I sold my txi pluses when I heard rumors on new ones coming out. Didn't want to be stuck with the plus, trying to move them on when the new ones released and the second hand market was flooded.
Never had any issues with the plus, but knew I'd want the new ones.
I bought fox rx+ In the mean time, and they were great. Worked very well and did everything required of them. I could happily have used them for the foreseeable, but I've always had delks, or gone back to them when I've had an itch to scratch, Nevis, fox rx etc.
New delks are great. You won't regret the decision.

Main reasons why I prefer the Fox is the drop back different tone and the colour change led plus the light on the receiver is v handy.
Alarms is a very personal thing but whichever you choose out of the two I'm sure you'll be more than happy with them.

The new TXI D are the nuts they are virtually the perfect alarm never had a single issue, had the RX+ before again great alarms and only reason I sold was braid would skip on the rollers when piking

I have both......was always a Delkim man but bought a set of the RX's prior to the TXiD's coming out after having issues with my old TXi's.......now out of the two, the RX+ for me although I do prefer the vibration sensitivity of the Delks for Zig fishing.
I just prefer the simplicity of the Fox's, a simple on/off switch and three dials...

Really are not difficult to get you head around. Do I appreciate the added functions well yes. Are they necessary not really you literally can use the delks with out fuss
More over personal set ups can be done and then left well alone for others they can play around. The Delkims appeal to two levels of users simplistic and those that want a little more.
I'm not saying the Fox ain't good just that I am very happy with the Delks functionality

I think you cant go wrong with both, i currently own the txi d with receiver before that i had fox. Had nothing wrong with the Fox ones or the Delkim ones thus far. Its just a preference thing if you ask me they both do their job really well i mean they are on the higher end when it comes to bite indication. The delkim has more features when it comes to the receiver but i rarely use any of it. Tho now that i think about it i use the last indicator that had a beep feature when im in my tent or missed a beep for some reason. I also tried the new fox minis with receiver a part from not having a high def speaker they also do the job and are cheaper than delks or the high end Fox ones.
Currently i dig the Txi d, maybe next time when fox comes out with something new i wont have a problem with trying them on as well.

Delkims for me.
NO other alarm can be as sensitive (if they need to be.) Fishing zigs or locked up. Them single beeps could be the difference between a fish and not that no other type of alarm could pick up. Very rare I know but is possible.
