I've just been watching the peregrine bids sat on there nest at Chichester cathedral. Been watching live very good close up. If anyone is interested. Think thay have some chick's but I didn't see as the main bird was covering them and looked like feeding the young.

There's a feed for the ones on Salisbury Cathedral too.

Be after the pigeons. Saw something a while ago, more and more are been attracted to cities, probably a good thing, get rid of some of the vermin

Loads in London, they seem to have exotic taste in food, mostly eating the parakeets

The adult pair were visible near me till a couple of weeks back, will hopefully see them with the fledglings in a month or so

Ive heard one up a power pylon making the waling noise, being surrounded by Buzrds and Red kite around six mile bottom area Cambs. And yet this was noticeably a different cry. Couldn't see much though, too high up.

They make an irritating racket I know that!

Used to only see a flock of them over Bromley area, and a flock over Kingston Vale but I've seen them much further afield now

Really, I'm guessing they came from somebody's Avery and breed them?

Probably, theres thousands of them about now, tens of thousands wouldn't surprise me
I remember laughing, probably 10-12 years back, when defra said there were 150 breeding pairs. You would have caught more than that in Richmond park alone

Loads of myths about them, been in London for a 100 years, most were escapees from the ships bringing them here and those who kept them, like Duggs says tens of thousands of the things now, i quite enjoy seeing them when i work and stay in London.

I was going to say I get them in my garden all the time but thinking about it not so much lately. Just lately it's been magpies, can they be frightening the parakeets away?

If the magpies are nesting nearby then probably, theres a nest in next doors tree and they won't tolerate a pigeon in the vicinity.
It's quite nice seeing the nest but it's in full view from the pylon the peregrines will spend most of the day in once the chick/s have fledged. Timing will be crucial or any magpie chicks will be an easy meal

I reckon there's a tree near me that can have about 100 on at any one time. Seen a few get picked off
They're like sitting ducks, but green and tiny
Are you sure?
