I've lost my ridgemonkey bivvy light so on the hunt for a new one, I had the original which was a bit of a pain to switch on and off with the tiny button.
Realize there are a few copies out there now, any suggestions? Ideally as light, small and practical as possible!

Don't like bivvy lights per se as they're unnecessary unless you fish through the depths of winter . . have got a Ridgemonkey Multi Lite plus which is quite useful however as its compact and doubles up as a self-take lamp etc . . .

I had a RM remote one a while back, sold up then started fishing again, went for the sunblesa and cannot fault it, even doubles as a battery pack (wont fully charge my phone but did get me out of jail). Does everything the RM does, comes with a remote, magnetic bank stick adapter and case.

really? it does get dark no matter the time of year
and having head torch on drains battery....so i am not having that comment belch, its a must

. . .Do you take a teddy to bed as well?
Hate headtorches - only use them to cook with but they mess with your night vision - you don't need bivvy lights and the only illumination that's really required is for night photos etc . . .

It has a red light mode so as not to knacker your night vision

Have to agree somewhat with belch
Have a light available to carry out tasks like unhooking etc
But it's getting a joke on most lakes , almost acceptable behaviour 🙁
I won't go on , please don't mention alarms though

At the moment, I have a £4.99 AA battery light with a dimmer switch velcroed into the roof of my bivvy which I bought last year from Aldi. So simple to use, pop new batteries in if it goes flat which in about 6 months I have not needed to do and not having to worry about charging them up when I get home, no need to worry about throwing an expensive light in the wheelie bin when a rechargeable battery dies and you cannot get a replacement battery, , no remote to lose or have to try and find in the dark and the distance I need to reach to get my remote is no further away than reaching above my head to turn the light on. And if I wanted it Red, I would just put some red perspex over the light. Its very rare that I use it, and if I do, its usually to rummage about in my bag looking for something in the day time as I have a very old Armo MK1 and with the Winter Extreme overwrap on usually you live in the twilight zone in it in permanent darkness.

The current trend for lighting up your bivvy and swim like Piccadilly Circus is becoming a proper pain - one water I fish, some of the guys even have night lights on stands - what is wrong with all these people? Are they scared of the dark? Frankly, it doesn't actually get that 'dark' at night, as your eyes adjust and you can see an awful lot without the aid of a light source. All I have ever used is a small Ledlenser and a headtorch, which frankly see very minimal use. You can do most things without a light source, such as landing a fish, casting out or re-baiting. These guys who have to have their swim lit up all night long - I just don't get it. No small wonder they don't seem to catch much and it's really annoying behaviour for the rest of us.

. . .its not a current trend I'm afraid . . .putting massive football stadium lights on a tripod and creating a mini rave in your swim has been done by some 'carp' campers for decades . . .one word - nods.

It's a wonder some of you guys have lights in your house as your night vision is so good. Headlamps weren't invented when I started andI didn't need them anyway then. Now both of my eyes are damaged I need light to find my way. I use a small led/pir in the bivvy and a low level headlamp for cooking etc. Landing fish isn't normally a problem without as my eyes have had time to adjust but a bait stop on a hair is not going to happen.
