Thoughts on the new screw-in bits from the Nash Spring range welcomed. Lots of negative comments from a fish safety perspective. I won't be using them for other reasons, namely I find the screws cumbersome and more agricultural than a piece of floss.

I sort of get why people are getting upset about them, but carp suck in all sort of items and spit them out. From twigs, sharp stones, shells and not to mention my hooks🤪

I remember Taska got a load of chit for almost releasing a snowman screw, to the point they released a PR stating they wouldn't sell them after concerns. Makes you wonder what consultants are paid to do, to give input on candle lit bivvy heaters or to just keep their gobs shut and put pics on the 'gram...

I'm assuming the people getting upset about a plastic screw don't use sharp metal hooks with a goal of piercing the flesh and dragging the fish through the water by its lips?

Thing is, I believe that maggot clip would go straight down the hatch.
During a fight, I cannot see a super soluable hookbait on a screw staying put. As for the corn toppers, it isn't the carp I'm concerned about, dopey arse swans are going to be picking at those all day long til one of them lets it go down it's neck.
IF they do end up listening to concerns, they should have learned from Taska, who they incidentally done some business with not too long ago.
We'll see, I'll be happy to be proved wrong.

How are these different to what esp sell? Haven't seen them myself but these things weren't a problem until Nash made them 🤔
Having hooked and wrestled to unhook a swan hooked on a magaligner I agree they are a bloody nightmare.. especially when it's mate is trying to flank you
