Hi All,

I did really well on this bait and had great confidence in it but unfortunately he is no longer producing the baits... I am looking for something similar.

I was thinking maybe Hydra K from ABS might fit the bill?

His baits are based around jb's bio shellfish basemix so i would either make something similar myself using the jb bio selfish basemix with some bio shellfish liquid food and some jb crab flavour or his combo of ala salar and plum if u have the time as u know it will be very similar to what u were using or i would give abs a call and ask if they can make something very similar for you.
Abs hydra k is a very good bait and will catch fish as Geoff defo can put together top quality baits

Hi

Why don't you try something form Bait Asylum? You can order through Essex Angling.

Similar ethics - top quality ingredients to make quality baits.

Either that or buy the JB base mix and flavours and get a local company to knock it up for you, yes it's expensive (still cheaper than buying mailine, Nash (not the instant range!) or sticky from a local shop) but you'll be getting yourself top quality bait that you can rely upon. I've had a chat and JB is intending to supply ingredients for the forseeable and has no intention of stopping.

Yeah I knew that but don't make my own baits as sold all my stuff years ago and JB doesn't do readymeades

Yes I had looked into Bait Asylum and was really keen. I sent a message to Essex Angling and never got a reply and also text and tried to call Ken but no text back or call back so gave up on that one... they are about 50 minutes from me so a fair way to drive down and back with no idea on if they have stock etc.

Was this bait a lot better than sticky krill?

Not sure as I've never used sticky krill at those prices!

I know prices are outrageous.
I have just found out I can get the sticky one for 6.50 a kilo though, but i don't really know how good it is ?

Try Blakes krinella as that is loaded with krill, good milk proteins, hydrolysed shrimp extract and smells lovely. A big chunk of my local syndicate are using that this year. Also I have done well on sticky krill in the past.

One that I would highly recommend is KSC by X-Cel baits.
I used it to good effect a couple of years ago in France as a direct replacement for Sticky Krill.
Shaun the owner is a good bloke to do business with.
I still use his VNF bait on my own water, which is superb (his bait, not my water lol!).

Three rivers is the closest thing you will get.

Speak to Glynn.

Very helpful and knowledgable as he worked for mr Baker for years.

Kenny is on holiday at the moment, if you can wait that long send him a message in a week or two and I'm sure he will get back to you.
Are you sure?
